Hasn't this been asked in the past?
Pretty sure I've answered a similar question, here, previously.
I definitely buy gog versions of games I own, or previously owned, and lost (many, many 1990s games in a house move around 1998/9)
In no particular order :
Duke 3D
Freespace
BG1+2 (although BG2 here was a competition prize ^_^)
IWD1
SETTLERS2!!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
Commandos 1
Earth 21xx
Caesar III
Planescape:Torment
ToEE
Neverwinter Nights.
Mostly for the same reasons mentioned in post#16, this thread.

Nope, because I only own physical copies of a few of the games on GOG so I focus on games I never got to play or haven't played in forever when making purchases.

If i already have it and it runs on Windows 7, then no, i don't buy it. Only exception so far has been Spellforce, but even then, i only bought it because of the expansions and because it was cheap :)

StingingVelvet: I buy games on GOG that I already own in a box for multiple reasons, the most important one being to avoid hassle. It's a hassle to setup Dosbox, it's a hassle to install off multiple discs, it's a hassle to disc-swap in games like XIII. A GOG install is quick and completely painless. I might also buy a game on GOG to get rid of annoying DRM on a boxed version.
This, GOGs are relatively inexpensive for me and time is precious. I literally own dozens of GOGs for which I also own a boxed copy.Sogi-Ya

fallout 1&2 / Freespace 1&2 are all replacements for physical disks that got misplaced, there are some others on the site that I have been wanting for this exact reason but most of my GOG purchases so far have been on games that I wanted but turned up discontinued by the time I gout around to trying to buy them.
