Crosmando: Games really don't take that long to play/complete you know, what really takes up time is procrastination rather than the actual time spent playing.
Well, that only is true when you're not talking about RPGs and you're a completionist xD

I have bought lots of games during the summer sale, but I can say they are now the only games that have interested me (to a lesser or higher degree). I still have around 20 game on my wishlist.

My backlog is...really big, and most of them games are aforementioned RPGs. Huzzah :D
I guess a part of me is like that. I mostly want to purchase the games I want a copy of. When they bundle a game I want with 10 others for the same price as the game I want, I usually don't purchase that type of sale. I usually have to get it at 50% off, unless it is a must have game like System Shock 2. If Civ4 ever makes it to GOG, I am afraid I will pay whatever GOG demands for it. Civ4 is a game I can play and still have a normal life. I can play it while talking to people, play it while watching TV. So, I tend to play that game all the time on Steam...except airplanes (fucking offline mode).
The bundles only make it worse for me. So low cost to get access to games I'll never play... but then there's that glimmer of hope that won't die... just... maybe.... maybe I'll play one of these games that have been out for years that I've never even thought about playing. I could live to be 100, right?
No. My backlog is much bigger than yours but I don't mind, they're all games I want to play and, when I get the time for it, they'll be there.

If anything, I wish there was a sale that did interest me. I bought practically every game I could possibly be interested in, both here and on Steam, so now I pretty much just pay attention to new releases.
Too many sales. Too many indie bundles. Too many kickstarters. Not enough money.
Could be messy...*checks humongous backlog*

Vitek: Only FM13?
There will be 10000 new versions in next 10000 years and we will be stuck with one outdated version?
Is it Heaven or Hell?
It was aimed at Keveek... he keeps waiting for FM to drop to a $1 before he will buy it :D

Sales do interest me, but I must be one of those guys who does have control on what they purchase from GOG and Steam and what not. I tend to look into whether I am interested in the game, and how much of a deal it truly is to see if it will be that much less than the actual price for the item.

Ah, I remember him waiting for it... but he already owns it. ;-)
My thoughts this morning:

"Yay, no Humble Weekly Sale! Now if I can just make it past gog's weekend sale..."
Wow - I thought I was struggling. I have 3 games on the go (alternating depending on mood/time etc) and then 12 more after that to play.

In answer to your question; no. When I first learn about a promotion I get that same sense of excitement as when I start a game from scratch.
