I can't quite see how you think this is the case for Israelis but not for Palestinians. It was their home for thousands of years, and it's been Israels homeland for a few decades. imo, that means the Palestinians at least have some validity to their claim of ownership.

Their beliefs and political ideals are so wholly contradictory and inconsistent that to actually to believe in the truth of what they are saying they'd either have to be (a) incredibly deluded to the point of mental illness, or (b) very, very clever enough to intimately understand what they voter base wants, irrespective of whatever religious belief or political doctrine they adhere to actually says.

For me, the best example of this is in the Intelligent Design/Creationist movement, where the more prominent figures in this field have practically demonstrated and even in one case explicitly admitted that they're in it to sell books and make money.

And actually, I'll be the first to say that my atheist friends and acquaintances are some of the most consistently intelligent people I've ever known.

Out of the three candidates, Romney seems at least the most sane and rational. The only other politician I can find that compares to Santorum and Gingrich, dead or living, is Adolf Hitler. And that is not meant lightly. I firmly believe that if either of these two assholes end up in the oval office, we'll be standing on the brink of World War 3.

That doesn't mean that I agree with much that Romney says, but he at least has rational - if not disputable - views on a few issues.
