I really want to play Strong Bad and Monkey Island but are those games good?

yeah. think monkey island is atleast challenging though nothing like the old classics.
sam and max is a bit more different , but still enjoyable. back to the future was so-so not even speaking of jurassic park. so seems they got worse with the games to come hope they change that.

Monkey Island is very good. Missing a bit of the magic of the old games though. Strong Bad you either love or hate. I thought I might wind up hating it. But I loved it instead. I think that there's a free episode. Or at least a demo or something. I'd recommend trying that first.

Strong Bad solely depends on your already established affection for the series. If you love the series, you will love the game, the puzzles are at least a competent vehicle for the humor and writing.

Tales of Monkey Island provides decent adventuring. It's not as brilliant as the originals, but a good game series in its own right with some fun cameos of the series' favorites.

They're... okay... I played both but only remember Monkey Island well enough to comment. In my opinion the first 3 LucasArts games are much, much better. Tales has a similar brand of humour, but I wasn't too impressed with the games myself. Maybe I didn't like their style of puzzles or something. Anyway they're worth a look if you enjoy adventure games. Try some of the free Sam & Max episodes. Different series sure but has many similarities to TellTales' other games.

I think you're probably the first person in the history of everything to compare Strong Bad to Final Fantasy.

Oh and on the subject of Telltale games, Hector is pretty good. It's certainly a lot more raw and a hell of a lot less politically correct than Telltale's mainstream games. Although I don't know how well it's blatant Britishness will travel overseas. If you have seen and liked Monkey Dust then it's basically like Monkey Dust the game.

Strong Bad has a distinct lack of effeminate, metrosexual, androgynous characters. In fact it's the kind of game that would mercilessly take the piss out of them should the opportunity arise.

FFVIII isnt bad.

If you like the homestar runner jokes then you'll love Strong bad game. Just don't play every episode back to back or you'll get sick of it.

I almost quit on Sam 'n Max but I've just finished the first series and really liked the humor. I'm not a big fan of the telltale style of gameplay but the writing in Sam 'n Max is absolutely top notch.

Back to the future.... well... don't ever waste any time on that heaping pile of buffalo turd.

what about Jurassic Park?

I've heard nothing but bad things about it from absolutely everyone, everywhere. That's usually a good sign that something is not even worth trying.

Their Sam and Max and Monkey Island games are good. I got BTTF as well but I haven't finished playing yet. i can't be bothered with Jurassic Park onwards, i wish they go back to making S&M and MI games.

Monkey island is fun, though I feel the episodic delivery took away a lot of the charm previous games had. The story just feels disjointed.

Sam & Max, however, are a different plate. Story feels disjointed in the first two seasons (though that's kind of intended, you're not meant to have played the previous chapters to understand whichever you're playing), but season 3 took episodic gaming and made it simply awesome. The Sam & Max games are simply the best Telltale has put out.

Jurassic Park is considered to be crap by most people. I refrained from buying it after I read it was a quicktime clickfest, so can't speak for myself.
