It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi,

somehow I cannot see the functionality that tells me how many games I own. Is there such a function and if yes, how can I access it?

Thanks and Happy New Year

I fear there isn't. You'd have to count the rows and multiply by 5 ...
I dont think there is a function for it but if you display your games in tiles the site groups them nicely in rows of five.

EDIT: Ninja'd but just so im being helpful here

This feature is there but only partially, for it to work you need to have a pending game "update".

If you have any pending update, go to the "My Games" section.

Switch to the "list view" (not the virtual shelf)

There at the top of the list you should two buttons ; "ALL" / "NEW & UPDATED"

If you wait some seconds, the number of games you own should appears on the "ALL" button. (and of course the number of pending updates on the "NEW & UPDATED" button.)

But like I said this number only appear if you have pending updates (update you didn't download), don't know why...

If you use a reasonably recent version of Firefox -- go to your games shelf, press Ctrl+Shift+K, enter

$("#shelfGamesList .shelf_game:not(.empty)").length

and press Enter.
or just link your GOG Account with the gogwiki:

You can do what I do. Switch your game view over to list view. Then mark all the game titles by clicking and dragging with your mouse. Copy and paste it into Notepad. Switch on the status bar, if it isn't already on (this requires that word wrap is switched off). Go to the last line, if you aren't there already. The status bar at the bottom of the Notepad window now shows you the number of the line you're on, which is also the number of games you have.

Mine gained a shelf since yesterday. Hah!
I choose the bookshelf view and use CTRL+scroll to resize the page content so 20 games fit in the browser window, then I hit page down and count by 20s and add on the change on the last page. Crude, but it works. Would be nice to have a printed total show up somewhere also. Another thing you can do is highlight all the titles and cut and paste them into a text file with an editor that shows the line numbers on the side, or save the text file and use a commandline utility like "wc -l" if you're using Linux.
And if you think none of the above solutions are right for you, vote for this feature in the wishlist.

It still lists my game count in shelf mode, but yes, only if there's an update.
OK, thank you guys! Looks like I have to settle for one of the workaround kindly posted by you, for the moment.

Try them all out, and then mark as the solution the one you like best ;-)

They all seem to be good enough, but OK, I'll pick one (I'm new to this forum). ^^
