Woulda bought 1 and 3 but just dumping # 2 drives the price from 9.97 to 12.98 so no buy there..

On a side note, it doesn't seem really clear what version the GOG d/l is, so I don't know what I would have to add after purchase.

I have the original so its no big deal, this is just feedback really.
Edit: As F4LL0UT pointed out, this might not be accurate for all Steam versions...

The games are all patched up to the gamespy removal patch earlier this year. They should match the versions found on Steam. The version numbers from the last patch are:
Shadow of Chernobyl - 1.0006
Clear Sky - 1.5.10 (1.0010)
Call of Pripyat - 1.6.02

As for the price, you might have luck trading with someone who already owns the set and can get SoC and CoP at full discount without CS.

Clear Sky is not that bad. :)
Even if you don't want it, does it even hurt to get the lower price? Worst case scenario you hide it until you feel adventurous. I can assure you, however, those two games are worth the price either way.
Just buy it the games are awesome.

I hedged my bets and bought the first STALKER on sale. When I saw this one, drool came out the corner of my mouth, I kicked myself for not buying Pripyat when I could have had it and SoC for the same price as the bundle, but then promptly bought the bundle Clear Sky and Pripyat anyway, if only to spread the STALKER love (like you, I didn't have any desire to play CS).

You know a game / series is good, when even the terrible, awful ungodly redheaded stepchild of the group gets 4+ stars on a site dedicated to old school, hardcore game geeks.

Never played any of the games. Might be the time to jump in...

Clear Sky's my favourite, actually, and I know I'm not alone. It's far and away the most broken, and it reuses a lot of assets (although not NEARLY to the degree people claim) but it's just so much FUN. In the end, isn't that the point?

I don't have the GOG version yet but I'm surprised: I finished the Steam version of Stalker in like February, it still had version number 1.0005. So did they actually increase it to 1.0006 upon the removal of GameSpy?
Just buy Clear Sky too, it's not that bad...

Buy all 3 as a gift, redeem 1 and 3, gift 2 to someone else. Or buy all 3 for yourself and hide #2.
Cool, thanks for the replies, I guess I should have mentioned I have the disc versions already, so these will essentially be duplicates, it's just that I was quite miffed that the price increased when I reduced the amount of purchases.
Thanks again for the replies :)
You can always make a trade with someone who does have all three and can buy you just the two of them for the fully-discounted price.

It happens with every sale, not just the seasonal ones.

I'm not sure as I don't have the Steam version, but the information regarding the last patch indicates that it requires 1.0006 and that it would be pushed to Steam users. I can certainly be wrong though. I'll edit the original post to be safe.

Me too. Clear sky added some much needed umph to the original game and had a far more structured story. Out of the three it is my personal favorite. (The only one I played 2 times).
