I have pre-ordered two copies (one collector's edition and one regular), and I am looking forward to the full release.

Beta versions is not something I'm that into, but I did set it up for my girlfriend - with a certain hope that she would find it addicting. So far the only ARPG she has played before is Dungeon Siege 3 (and perhaps one hour or so of Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance), but she seems to like Diablo 3 as well....

I did have a few problems connecting to the servers, and I really hate this sort of DRM, but the game has been running stable for about three hours now.

I hope those who like this game also have a look at Path of Exile and Grim Dawn, and consider contributing to the Grim Dawn Kickstarter. I am sure we all want more of these sort of games.
I played the beta and wasn't really all that impressed. Might have been because I played the wizard, but it didn't feel like Diablo. Probably passing on this one till it goes on sale.
I found the game more challenging and enjoyable when playing with others, but yeah, the default difficulty seems ridiculously easy.
I liked it. About the difficulty, I mean, Diablo 2 in standard mode was also quite easy the first 2 acts, but entertaining. I think the same will happen to D3, since you can see the first act as kind of tutorial. I liked it, it was a solid experience.

Of course such a game you wait years for creates a kind of hype, but thats the same with every game ( look at DNF for example...the hype was as huge as the disappointment ;)

I will buy the CE, just for playing the single player part and getting that cool skull-usb-stick thingie ;)

Yeah i think it's because of all the potions lying around, now I do think it's not that big of a deal because D2 has several places that are soooo unbalanced so at least with D3 you can jsut pay it on harder difficulties to increase challenge
I know its just in beta but people will be pissed if they get kicked from a server then if they try to log back in,the server is full after the game is released.

finished the beta twice with the barbarian and the demon hunter , duel wield pwns :)
Well, I just finished a second run-through, this time with a female monk.
She got hurt badly, especially in the cathedral. Might need some better armour made, I suppose.

I just waltzed through everything with a wizard. Well, almost everything. Those fat-bastard Unburieds, in the lower Cathedral gave him some trouble.

Aside from about 30 seconds, to 1 minute of speedy, normal play, the whole thing looked like my characters were trying to run under water. Even on LOW and OFF settings. I have no idea what happened during that almost-minute to make it normal, but god dayamn, it was frustrating....
Completed a few times with a Wizard and a Monk. Also played with friends. Kinda annoying that if you want to play singleplayer it is afflicted with issues in MMOs, I can move forward and then "teleport" backwards thanks to lag, can't play SP when server is down and have to login like in WoW with all the authenticator and stuff just to play SP.
But at least it's easy to invite friends to play Co-op. Chatting and linking items are also similar to WoW.

Guess I'm only getting since quite a few of my friends are getting. I'll be looking forward more to Torchlight 2 instead.
All the D3 talk is making me get overly hyped. Been a long time since I looked forward to a game as much as this.

What sort of specs is that performance on? I'm a bit concerned because my machine is ~5 years old now and sometimes it shows.

I finshed with all of the playable classes. I'm all diabloed out.
Thanks to the Beta, now I am sure I won't be buying D3. The game is good but not better than competition. I would buy it only if it had offline gameplay and cost 30$. It's an ordinary H&S so I see no reason to pay more and always-online thing is ruining my immersion / game experience. I feel more like playing an MMO than a Diablo game.
It's obvious that it is pretty PvP-centric (no skill trees) but hey, we won't get PvP mode for a while, so what's the point...
And looking at the graphics, gameplay and overall experience, it really makes me wonder what they have been doing for all this time. Crate Entertainment's game looks far better after something like 2 years of development...
I am waiting for Torchlight 2 and - of course - Grim Dawn.

deelee74: I loved it, but it was way too easy. I beat the beta (killed the skeleton king) in 3 hours without dying once. Used the Barbarian.
I was the wizard and I used maybe 2 health pots the whole time, other than that never came close to death. At the same it was the lowest difficulty in what was the tutorial area.
Heh, didn't know Leonard Boyarski was working in Blizzard on Diablo 3. :)
