I ran across these last night, unfortunately it seems the guy has fallen off the face of the earth, with no updates in a while. Fortunately he dumped the source (it's in bad shape) before he disappeared, so at least some of the code is there if someone wanted to pick up on it. It's a mess, though.

Also, if anyone has a version of Diablo 1 -PRIOR- to 1.04, I'd love to talk to you.

I am a Hammerdin build Paladin and so far Mephisto is kicking my ass, probably my armor is shitty, I need a better shield, Armor, helmet.

Stop playing the paladin. Make a new character, necro. Put 1 skill point in each curse, 1 in corpse explosion and each of the skills necessary to get it, and the rest in summoning skills - that's the easiest way to beat the game, and is the best one till you get the hang of it.

Great now I lost my equipment and money and my corpse is gone, I think its my fault because when I died by Mephisto I decided to reset the game without saving (which is stupid that Diablo 2 has Save and Exit only :P) by going to the closing the windows of the game so I can still have my stuff, but I don't have my stuff and the corpse that has it is gone, so what now am I screwed?

Something tells me you're screwed no matter what :P Just do like I told you, and exit with "Save and Exit" from now on...

You should find your body in town, probably near the stash

I still have the old diablo CD, which should be version 1.0. What do you have in mind?

....Yep I found it that way before you told me, and I just slayed Mephisto using Blessed Hammer from a distance :P
