Hello all,
I am a new here, but I am looking for good old classic game - Diablo 1. Do anybody here know, if it is possible that this game can be available on gog? I think that this is also classic game. Thanks
I don't think Blizzard would sell their games on another DD.
Blizzard don't use other DDs to sell their games, as Battle.net is pretty much competing with Steam even though it only sells several games.

Too bad, they don't sell their pre-Starcraft stuff. The only way to get their legacy games is on eBay, or to pirate them.
Hello. I found Diablo on Aukro.cz (auction site). Links:
Starcraft/Broodwar + Diablo +Warcraft 2 (348 CZK)

Return to Krondor + Diablo (starting from 50 CZK)

First one has a good price (60 PLN, in Poland you can find this compilation for more than 120 PLN) and it includes other Blizzard classics.

Blizzard has their own download service, which is actually quite good.

If you bought a boxed Blizzard game in the past, you can registered an account at Battle.net and type in your product key. That would allow you to download the digital version of the game.

My old CD versions of Diablo II/Lord of Destruction and WarCraft III/The Frozen Throne could not run property on Windows 7 64-bit. However, I used my product keys to download the digital versions from Battle.net, and they ran just fine.

Also check out these GOG rpg's . . .

Divine Divinity

Sacred Gold

Nox

My preference is the order above. I actually prefer playing Divine Divinity rather than Diablo / Hellfire followed by Sacred. Nox is very short but I like the solo quest mode for some quick "Diabloish" action on occasion. DD was around 60 hrs of game play for me with Sacred just over 90 hours (it keeps up with your game time)

DD and Sacred also allow exploration with the Sacred world being huge.

Anyway, thought I would mention these near Diablo games as alternatives . . . =)

Though Blizzard's store doesn't contain anything pre-Starcraft so if you want Warcraft 2 or Diablo 1, you'd better start searching.

While I already own the Blizzard Anthology that Rondel mentioned, I cannot register my Warcraft 2 key, because b.net doesn't support them. Not to mention that finding legal version of Diablo: Hellfire for a reasonable price (or at all) is quite a PITA.

Same here. I lost my original copy of Diablo 1 and Blizzard don't sell it.

'Let's pretend it didn't exist.' :p

And that's pretty much the official answer, not just silence as is so common otherwise.
Not caring for the on-line Diablo game play Hellfire was my favorite single player version. We did play Diablo vanilla mulitiplayer on LAN often having several servers going at one time.

Bringing a new class, two new characters and other enhancements made Hellfire the preferred off-line version for Diablo . . . at least with everyone I knew. . . =)

Edit: For those who want to enable the extra quests and multiplayer in Hellfire I believe this link will give instructions for doing so.

I also have two more commands in my command.txt file that are not in the download file.

nestart;cryptart;
-Added at the end of the string. I have forgotten what they do but the Hellfire wiki says the following about nestart

"nestart -- Enables a different palette for the Hive. Try the game with and without this option to see the fairly slight difference." I assume it would do something similar for the crypt palette.

I still have original of Hellfire. It was quite nice amount of additional hours.

I'd buy Hellfire if I could, to replace my bootleg version. But alas, Blizzard does not want it.

I love Diablo 1's atmosphere much more than D2's.

Yes, I've sunk quite a few hours into Hellfire. Unlocked the unfinished classes too - love the Bard's dualwielding (though it's slow) and indentify power.
