Yeah, I know, lots of threads already, but apparently when you (or at least I) search for a topic and have the threads located, there's no way to post anything in them. (edit: oh, it's apparently just some of the earlier posts)

So anyway, got DE:HR last night on Steam (couldn't pass up that 4.99 price tag)...

The menus run fine... the "tutorials" run fine... but as soon as I try to start a new game, it freezes; I go into task manager and get the "not responding" message...

Been at work all day so haven't had time to look for solutions, so I just thought I'd throw this out there.

edit: Well, after resetting the settings, it's running again; now I'm just tweaking the settings to try to get the best performance. Damn video card.
