I am looking to build my next PC.
Have been bitten a few times with shoddy packaging, lost orders etc.
Can anyone reccomend a decent, reliable, cost effective store / website for someone in the UK to purchase components?

Many thanks

Awww you had to say UK. Newegg in the US is good but I am pretty sure they do not do Europe, as I was told before by some people.

I buy damn near everything on amazon and there is an amazon.co.uk, though I do not know how good their PC components stock is. In the US it is pretty good, I got my GPU, power supply and case from them for my last PC and had no issues.

A couple on this list are stores that I have had problems with.
Amazon took 5 weeks to make a delivery.
Ebuyer never did deliver.
THey siad that my order never went through, but they did manage to take my money.

I'll second ccl I just got a external dvd reader/burner from them and a g27 racing wheel with no fuss. I've had a £500 computer from them as well before.
OK, Colour me suitably impressed with CCL.

Ordered late Sunday night.
1 of the items I ordered was out of stock.
They said that, to allow time to get it in, delivery would be Wednesday.
I thought "yeah, right!"
Delivery actually happened this morning, including the "out of stock" item.
I did have a few issues trying to find information on the website, but the purchase has gone as smooth as I could wish.
I highly recommend Dabs and Ebuyer myself. Also for memory I use MemoryC.

Yeah, CCL are good like that.
I use Microdirect since the 90s - fairly cheap, nearly always in stock what they say they have, and added benefit of being about 3 miles from my front door. Never used their online ordering for that reason, but service is speedy and very professional, so I can't imagine their online processing being any other way.

For what little that is worth to you.

I always found Dabs to be expensive but decent for looking up specific things
I second the recommendation of CCL Online - they're by far the best, and they seem to have upgraded the delivery of my latest purchase for no reason. XD
