It was pretty evident from the beginning that they would make it. It just makes you wonder, that if they'd managed to make just as good pitch as Roberts did (or what I like to call the best crowdfunding pitch ever), how far Elite could have gone.

But anyways, I didn't pitch either project, but I am more than willing to give them a look after they are finished. Especially Elite.

ET3D: Just checked the project's situation. Funded with Mac version and more ships stretch goals reached. Nice. I knew there was nothing to worry about.
Except them actually delivering it. It's great they've got their funding and are going to have a crack at it, but lets not forget that there's a long way between funding a game and actually seeing it.

However in this case I've a strong suspicion that the game was mostly written already, and they just wanted the funds to start having a bit of fun with it (and so they wouldn't need a publisher).

From the looks of the videos they at least got highly functioning prototype done.
