Posting this in case anyone here wanted the retail version but it isn't sold in your country.

Zavvi has the retail version of Dark Souls for PC on sale for £9.95, which with £0.99 international shipping converts to around $17.40.

The retail version requires GFWL, but doesn't require steam apparently. If you wish you can register the code on there anyways.
