Will the D & D games get pulled from GOG like Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition was from Beamdog's website?

Right now, no. GOG has a deal with Hasbro who currently owns the rights to the D&D license so unless Hasbro goes under, Sells off the D&D License or decide to no longer will deal with GOG, I don't see it happening

Neverwinter Nights 2 looks tasty, that deal is hard to pass up since I have the other D & D games

yeah the worst that will happen if GOG loses the D&D Games is that they will no longer be on the site to purchase but will still be in peoples libraries.

The only time games have gotten yanked from actual accounts are when GOG didn't have the rights to sell the game in the first place and that only happened once with a MAC port of a game.
Where did this news come from?

I heard about it yesterday here: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/06/20/yikes-baldurs-gate-enhanced-pulled-bgii-on-hold/
Ah, yes. I can see why it might be a bit concerning for the OP. But this problem seems to be confined to the licensing of the "new" game. I'm not going to be backing up my GOG copies just yet...
In that case, it seems to be related to Atari rather than Hasbro itself.

Yes. GOG deals directly with Hasbro, so whatever happens to Beamdogs game v Atari, has nothing to do with GOG.
Is Neverwinter Nights 2 a good game?
Since Atari is part of this, it might be best to ask here.

I just saw on CheapAssGamer's GOG thread that Atari is having some financial problems and will be auctioning off properties next month.

Is that going to effect any of the Atari published games here?

more then likely, yes

It is. It was largely maligned when first released due to the buggy state of the game. But the patched version (which you get from GOG) as well as the expansions really made it a fine game. Add into the mix the good number of community made modules you can pick up and the game is more than worth the purchase price, IMO.

The NWN 2 main campaign is not very good imo, just like the NWN main campaign, though for different reasons. However, the first xp MotB is excellent and well-worth the asking price on its own imo. Storm of Zehir is good if you like more open-ended, exploration-based gameplay, and the last xp that was not actually made by Obsidian is average.

If you take into account that there are some great fan-made modules as well, I'd say NWN 2 is very good value overall.

There's always that Baldur's gate and Icewind Dale mods for NWN2.
