So - I'm an avid 1.6 player. Been playing since beta in 2000. Got into the CS:GO beta yesterday. Played it for a couple of hours. In all honesty, I like some of the features that they've added, i.e. map plays to whoever gets to 16 rounds first and then swaps. Not bad but not exactly rocket science.

As to the downsides:
Very clunky animations. 1-2 bullet skillshots with rifles are pointless as a result. Recoil control is piss easy. Bullet patterns are very difficult to discern. Anyway, I was extremely drunk when I tried it so will give it another go now.
