For me, Crysis 3 worked better than 2 in most cases.
CPU: Intel i5
GPU: GeForce 550ti
... there's also other stuff.

darthspudius: If Crysis 2 is anything to go by then I would be more concerned about whether your can maintain Crysis 3 rather than play it. Crysis 2 runs so poorly that I haven't even bought the new one.
Crysis 2 runs smoothly on my PC with the Intel HD 4000. Crysis 2 runs a lot better than Crysis for me. Crysis only runs smoothly for me with the lowest settings.

AnimalMother117: Your computer looks awesome.
It was when I bought it 2 or 3 years ago (can't remember) maybe 2.5 years. Now I fear it will not run witcher 3 (pretty sure)...

If you want to enjoy its graphics and visuals, you should prefer a high-end PC. Otherwise I think you can play it with your current system specifications (medium/normal quality).

... Intel i5, GeForce 550ti 1GB, 4GB RAM, played it on high on 1080p, roughly 30-40 FPS.

Aw, man, that's a bummer. Still, cool system specs.

Can your PC run it on higher settings and it's still playable?

Well, as I said, I ran the 'high' preset, whatever it was, and I got pretty much steady 30 FPS out of it. It did drop occassionally, but not all that often. Oh right, I did have motion blur off 'cause I hate it. At any rate, increasing anything above that seemed to drop my framerate quite significantly.

Okay. According to your settings, I guess user "xxxIndyxxx"'s PC is able to run it with high+ quality settings too. But for better quality than "high" and more fps, a new GPU is my recommendation.

Yeah first level ran pretty good with everything except shadows on the highest setting. So let's hope the next level runs as well. Wouldn't mind lowering everything to high either so I am satisfied :D

I have personally noticed very little difference between high and ultra preset, altho it might just be confirmation bias on my part.

Good. Enjoy it!
You can run it just fine.
