The Grudge is good but I wonder why the Ring hasn't been mentioned yet. That is even better than the Grudge and predates it by a few years. Dark Water is also very good.

Ringu 0: Birthday

and Rasen the first direct sequel to Ringu, but it had low box office sales and was panned. So they made Ringu 2 to satisfy the Ringu movie fans. It explores more material from the Ring novels, that were written in Japan.

Maybe not a gross, but I found parts disgusting; I recommend the movie The Cat aka The Cat that Eyes see Death. Some people find it boring, but it's an okay movie.
