It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

ok, i had this same issue when downloading Arx Fatalis, now i'm having it with Sacred Gold. after the game finishes downloading and i go to install i get a "checking file integrity" window like always, and it finishes with an error saying that the files are corrupted and i need to download another copy. Sacred Gold is like 1.7gigs or something, so it takes me about 45min to an hour to download it......which gets redundant.
i was only able to get an uncorrupted copy of Arx by pure persistence, i just kept downloading it until i got a working copy. I'm trying to locate the root of my problem, i've tried all the fixes suggested to me by other forum members as well as the gog staff. i'm using a wireless connection since its pretty much my only option living inside army barracks. i've turned my firewall and kaspersky antivirus off during the download and still it didnt help, i've even tried a download manager (flashget), i've also tried downloading it from the browser download link in both firefox and internet explorer. is this problem because of my wireless maybe? i'm VERY frustrated with this *currently downloading Sacred Gold again and hoping for the best*
Yeah, sometimes if your internet falls out, the download beomes corrupted
But then again, if it didn't work with flashget, that's a mystery....
i even went as far as to leave the barracks and try downloading it using someone else's internet connection......and that still didnt get me an uncorrupted copy. now i'm experiencing the same crap with Sacred Gold and its making me wanna hurl my brand new netbook through my third story window.
Wireless is pretty notorious for losing data, normally the average person never notices it but it can cause problems like this. Personally I have only had 1-2 problems like this (which is amazing considering just how shit my access point's signal profile is) but my first suspicion would be the wireless.
Do you have any idea where the access point is and if there are a lot of other wireless devices around you that might be generating interference? Usually the closer you are to the access point the better
If it only takes 45-60 minutes to download, is there anywhere you might be able to plug in physically and download that way? Get the IT guys some beer or something?

its run by comcast and the access point is LITERALLY a room right across from mine, i dont know if i'll be able to plug in directly and dl it. its pretty fast and i always have atleast 80% signal strength, i've never had any problems downloading anything else, just from this site.....and the only thing i could think of that would interfere is other people using the same access point tho? but they divide it up between rooms....so maybe 3 other people max would be using it at the same time, like i said i've never had problems like this with anything except downloading the games from this site. i'm currently downloading Sacred Gold AGAIN because my last copy(which was my 3rd download....) didnt work, i'm trying the browser download hoping i'll get lucky this time.
Are you using the downloader or download through browser? Also are you renaming the files at all?
Suggestions, don't use the downloader, and don't rename the files.
havent renamed any files, and i've tried the gog downloader, browser download link, AND a download manager, none of them did anything to help.
Ok... now this may be out of left field, but have you checked your hard drive for errors and/or bad sectors? I'm guessing it's a netbook with a 160GB drive, which would be a mechanical one. Netbooks are small and tend to get moved around/tossed quite a bit... I'd do a full surface level scan and make sure you don't have any disc errors.
i have a 250gig hdd, and how do i go about scanning it for errors? not TERRIBLY computer savy, i'm not a moron but i dont know everything lol.

Ok, I'm going to make some assumptions here. 1) That you're running windows XP (Will work the same for vista), and 2) that you have a single partition on your drive (You only have a C drive, not a D, E or any other letter for hard drive space.
1) Go into "My Computer"
2) Right click on your C drive, most likely labeled "Local Disk"
3) Go to Properties
4) In properties go to the "Tools" tab
5) Under "Tools" you should see "Error-checking
6) Click "Check Now..."
7) Check both boxes "Automatically fix the file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors"
8) Click start
9) System will most likely tell you that you need to reboot
10) Reboot the system and it should do the scan before booting into windows, this could take up to an hour or more
alright i'll try that out. thanks for the help. and by the way.....my 4th corrupted copy of Sacred Gold just failed to install....dammit!
hmm, thats a pretty bad run of luck there. Where are you saving the files to? Same place each time?
You've tried turning off antivirus/firewall software?
im saving the files to my download folder, same place every time. i have tried turning my firewall and AV off, and i've tried it with them on as well, no matter what i do i cant get a damn uncorrupted copy. i even ran a check on my hdd for errors or w/e last nigt, took a while but came up with no errors.......i'm stumped, if this persists i wont be able to buy games from gog, and i thought i was only gonna have this problem with Arx Fatalis, but i'm having it with any other game i try to download.

Sorry to hear about this, I can see it's very frustrating for you :-/
We're looking into other download solutions in the near future (some about to be tested) but for now, the support team should be able to help you with an alternative solution to be able to download your purchased games.
Perhaps another device transmitting at the same frequency is interfering. Have you tried a hardwired ethernet connection?
