I think my profile pic pretty well proves who I'd cosplay as if I had the body for it :P Of course, I'd go the FFX route rather than X-2, because I much prefer the tank top to the bikini top if it's gonna be on me.

A few years back I was working on a Princess Ai outfit for a con I went to, but I didn't manage to get it finished. I still have the wicked awesome boots, though :D

Or an SG-1 uniform. That would be pretty awesome, too.

Look, I like to see inspiration in a costume. If I want some female tripping on girl power and sporting a thong and pasties, I can hit the strip tease. As I said, it's tired, especially when it's derivative to a fault, as is the recent rash of Poison Ivy. (...see what i dd there?)

IMO, cosplay is best when it's good because the costumer is talented/inspired. Not because sex sells.

Where you been living? Under a rock? Girls like to dress sexy, cosplayer girls being no different. Do you expect them to all dress conservatively or make themselves look ugly because of your sensibilities?

And also if a girl/lass wants to dress that way then let her....some do it just to cosplay you know, not just to "sell sex"

I'm more of a LARPer then a Cosplayer. But I have went to several conventions. Once with an Final Fantasy group....About two years ago I think.

I seconded GameRager, if the ladies want to wear those sexy costumes then they should go for it. It's entirely their choice and as long they follow the rules, I don't see any problems.

Sum people think the human form is a horror unfit for viewing by man nor beast I guess....all's the pity on them then.

Never tried LARPing but it looks very fun. I may try it since it may provide nice break from usual cosplay gatherings I attend.
Meh, some people have problem and some don't. I saw one female cosplayer whose wore nothing but strips that barely cover her privates and it still fit with character. I don't mind really as long you don't butcher up the character and cosplaying is about having fun, not getting into serious business.

For me, I view cosplaying as an expansion on my personal hobbies, nothing more. I'm just cosplaying for fun, not to competing with other people.
