stoicsentry: Question 5/10: A religion or group of religions that consider humanity to be the central battleground in the cosmic war between good and evil.
avatar
spindown: All of them.
I think you could argue that, with a few minor exceptions. Granted, I'm no religious history expert, but I doubt something like Taoism would conceptualize the world like this. Still, there's a subtle point to be made in the way the question is phrased, and I'll be happy to reveal it once the time for guesses is over.

Coleeboo: Norse Mythology

Zoroastrianism

oasis789: Do the Aesir and Vanir really represent 'good' and 'evil' respectively? Hmm...

Man now I want to replay Valkyrie Profile :)
Not as well versed on Norse mythology as I would like, but I would imagine it would be more the Aesir and the Giants. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Vanir were at war with the Aesir during Ragnarok. Is that right?

Okay, in that case I'll go with Scientology.

Yes, you are correct. It is the fire Jotunn and the forces of Hel that are the Aesir-Vanir antagonists in Ragnarok. And they also fight great beasts like Fenrir and the world serpent. Learning something new every day...

That's a bit of a bizarre guess... I'm no scientologist but don't really think it places humanity at the center of the galactic war

tarangwydion: Jediism, of course. Just kidding! :-D

I think the answer is Zoroastrianism.
I actually think Jedi-ism would be a totally legit answer, except that it isn't limited to humanity. Like, all the super awesome jedi masters and sith lords are nonhuman.

'Olbiil Era Kelulau’ translates as 'meeting place of whispers'.

They have a major government building which translates to "the meeting place of whispers."

If you google Palau meeting place of whispers, a few things come up.
The answer was Zoroastrianism!

While many religions and mythologies can be said to be similar, Zoroastrianism is one of the few that places an extreme emphasis on the free will of man and his ability to side with either the good (Ahura Mazda) or the evil (Ahriman).

Question 6/10: The capital of an Australian state or territory.

Currently a four-way tie for first place:

Lexor: 3 pts.
Garugo: 3 pts.
Dhuraal: 3 pts.
Oasis789: 3 pts

Yes, the capital of an Australian state or territory. (I'm going with the suggestion of making it so you can't necessarily know the correct answer based on the question.)
