PenutBrittle: On the FEAR 3 thing, is it possible the guy in the video the OP saw was playing the PC version with a controller? I actually love it when PC games switch the UI to the Xbox version if you have a controller plugged it.

doccarnby: That's what I was suspecting, but I don't have an Xbox controller and I wouldn't plug it in for an FPS anyway.

It is cool when there is some dynamic changes to the menus though.
When I saw the vid it should him using a mouse pointer navegating the menus he was not using the controller

nijuu: Because companies like money. And at the end of the day they do anything to make money.So port games to console, port console games to pc (*spit*), port games to gaypad sorry ipad, make games on gaypad then port to PC etc.
Btw i think i maybe wrong but i dont think there's any games on Gog which were ported from console to pc??.

No problem also Penut Brittle said MOST ubisoft games.The ones I know were made for PC is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six (I don't know if Ghost Recon was made well for PC), and the MIght and Magic series

Might and Magic is very old series...im not sure they are console ports?.nah checked. they arent console ports. Started off on Apple, C64 (i have a few M&M games from this) and Dos. Check wiki.

Ghost Recon was made for PC, but Ghost Recon 2 was not. Ghost Recon 2 was also apparently pretty bad, so they cancelled the PC port and had two different teams work on the console and PC versions of GRAW.

Heh, I don't think anyone seriously thought M&M was a console series. Elmofongo said that Might and Magic was one of the Ubisoft series that was an original PC release. I'm guessing you just inserted a word by mistake?

I don't even really associate Ubisoft with Might and Magic in my head anyway. It's not because I hate what Ubisoft has done with the franchise (in fact, I love HOMM5) but mostly because I grew up seeing 3DO on the box, dammit.
