I just had a look at the 3d realms collection they are offering on their website. It is very tempting but I own all the titles gog has of theirs, but if they go for half price again I will buy in an instant.
Which leads me to my question: Are there any other game devs/publishers doing a similar sort of thing?

Many thanks

Very useful to know, thank you and +1
Larian have their own store. Blizzard have been selling their own games for a long time already, but only from the Battle.Net era.
well EA has origin and they sell quite a few of their older titles there
square enix also has their own shop ( mostly the old ff games )

Both of those companies also attach horrible DRM to those games though.

unfortuntly I'm not surportive of origin due to the afformentioned drm, and i should imangine square will be the same. but thanks all the same and +1 to all

Don't forget that was a large point to the original use of Steam! :P

Yeah it's the classics I'm interestered in. But I did enjoy Diablo 3 co-op on PS3.
