Leave your conscience at the door and prepare for some espionage in Revolution Software's In Cold Blood.
In Cold Blood is a 3D adventure game with a touch of sneaking and combat. The world is on the verge of a crisis, as the United States of America and the People's Republic of Chine prepare for an imminent new cold war. The CIA, its resources stretched pretty thin, turns to MI6, the British Secret Intelligence Service, for aid. You play the role of John Cord, an operative sent on a search and rescue mission to find a missing CIA agent. The assignment goes horribly wrong and you find yourself neck-deep in a conspiracy that puts the global balance of power at risk. The fate of the world rests in your hands.
What a nice and surprising release. When it came out, I really wanted to play it on my PSX back then, but then I forgot about it :) Absolute buy :)
I remember hearing mixed responses to this game, sad as it sounded awesome in the previews of the time.
Stealth/Combat/Adventure were all watered down a bit to get everything in. However, as with most of Revolution's titles, the writing is solid and enjoyable.
I'm tempted to check it out, despite the issues and my feelings on 3D adventures.
Great to see more surprise titles make the upcoming list. This is quite exciting for me.
Oh and just when it appeared in Guess game - game and I thought it might be pretty good :D GoG team is a bunch of telepats I say...
I know I said this in the name the game thread but it bears repeating:
BY THE SUPERFLUOUS THIRD NIPPLE OF CHRISTOPHER LEE!!!! Oh and only $6 (or $9.20 in real money). Now this is going to sound like I'm exaggerating slightly but I think GOG may be the best thing to have happened to the universe since the formation of the first protein.
Needless to say I'm in for a huge disappointment when my cherished memories of the game's awesomeness get abducted and gang raped by the smelly hobos of dodgy controls and illogical puzzles...
Also I'll never get this netbook I'm saving for if I keep buying games from GOG. Lucky that tomb raider underworld DLC has been pushed back to february, I can get that next pay instead of this one.
But WOO! ICB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: It's Peoples Republic of "China", not "Chine"
Wow, the plot sounds interesting. I'll need to do a bit of research on this one (or just buy it for the heck of it, haven't decided yet :)
Very nice.
I remember wanting to play this back in the day, but I could never find it in local stores. GOG.com to the rescue :P
Great news! I've been waiting for this game since I knew GOG was going to release the Revolution Software catalogue. I already bought this game a few years ago, but I never had the time to sit down and play it. Now I finally have the chance!
Yeah, I remember reading about it in some games magazine years ago. Now I can play it!
I've never heard of it, but this looks very interesting. I like the pre-rendered backdrops with realtime 3d characters, kinda like FF7 only much better looking.
This gives me a Myst/Riven vibe, although more modern. Definitely going to look into this game!
Be sure to check out the intro movie on the youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/gogcom . Cool stuff.

NO WAI!
I'll be definitely adding this to my list, sooner or later. :D
Strange, I played this game when it was released and I liked it but I actually don't remember anything about it...
Next week I'll be refreshing my memory :)
The more adventures the better!
After reading the synopsis and seeing some of the pictures, this looks pretty damn good! And for $6? $6 AUSTRALIAN??
GOG, you've done it again. I'd say you were sending me to the poor house with all these games I've bought, but they're all so cheap I barely notice their affect on my budget at all!
As soon as I finish one game on this website, I've got one in the wings and one downloading, at this rate I'll never catch up haha! Excellent work :)
