I'll try this, being a HUGE fan of Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded, but not sure how I feel about the thematic direction they've taken. I'd been waiting for a 3D successor to the Alien Shooter games, but looks like that brought some technical limitations (now only up to 50 enemies on screen at once) according to their Unity development thread (http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/131584-I-am-Weapon.-survival-action).

I loved Alien Shooter 2, so I might keep an eye on this one. Initially I'm not sure I like the overall vibe and the switch to full 3d (I loved the way they combined sprites and dynamic shadowing/lighting in AS2), but that doesn't mean it won't be an awesome game.

A demo is out now, you can find it in the first link in the first post. I'm downloading it now.

Anyone have an opinion on this? It's $2 over at Amazon right now and I've been looking for any sort of indication that it's even a decent game.

EDIT: D'oh. There's a demo...anyways, if anyone has any opinions, I'd still appreciate it.

I'm buying it, if it doesn't work on my dual core 1.6ghz laptop, I'll be going home to a much more powerful machine in a month. But it certainly does look interesting.

I tried the demo on Desura.

The story is pretty dumb, the premise is bizarre, and the gameplay is overwhelmingly bi-polar, but it's still fun in its own way.

I used to be a huge fan of Sigma but by now I'm just tired of their stuff. And from what I can tell their decision to move to 3D was idiotic.
