Titanium: I HAVE NO OPINION OF THIS ISSUE
I just want rest of the Gears of War series - and any other Epic Games not on the PC (like Shadow Complex) to hit the PC. That's all I care about.
{shrug}

I don't care what Cliffy B has to say about used games, piracy, and things of that sort. All of that stuff is unfortunately a complicated mess, to say the least.

While I understand Cliffy's point-of-view (too many studios dying - we need more $, since we're spending so much $) -- gamers should have their rights, too (i.e. if a game sucks and I dropped a fortune on it, I should be able to sell it somewhere or pass it off to someone else). I wish companies like GameStop would give dev's/pub's a better cut, but that ain't gonna happen - especially when stores like GameStop (kind of) making garbage on new sales; and since they are so making 100% profit on used games sounds like an epic win for them.

No matter how you look at it - it's all a major mess, on every single end. {shrug}

Here's an interesting thought for Cliffy: SPEND LESS MONEY!

If your financial calculations don't add up, it's usually your own damn fault because you don't know your market. In general, needing to sell umpteen million metric fucktons of your product just to break even is indicative of two things: bad calculation and a business model without a future.

Smart people analyse their market, create products fit for that market and most importantly do so with a budget tailored for it. Very smart people may even create new markets. Idiots, however, try to change an existing market to fit their business model and browbeat the customers into buying their stuff anyway. That never goes well. Every industry that ever tried that failed spectacularly.
