Between the multiple spellings or slightly misspelled titles and the fact that some games wished for are NOT PC titles (Drakan: The Ancients' Gates was ONLY developed for the PS2, folks, so STOP voting for it), that otherwise great wishlist needs to be checked and snipped/stripped down.
Is there any possibility of creating a MASTER games database with CORRECT game titles and such that will let users know if their game is A) a PC title and B) the one they're wising for (The Dark Eye and Drakensang: The Dark Eye, for example, are two ENTIRELY different games that have nothing to do with each other)...

I'm sure some bright spark has already added Mass Effect 2 to the list.
Preferably, remove the wishlist entirely as a part of the site upgrade. It is useless.

But where would we ever point people to when they have a wish?

They need to make it a wiki type thing and let us maintain it for them. That frees them up and those of us who want can keep it clean.

The thing is, it doesn't actually matter at all. None of those get enough votes for anyone to notice, and GOG probably only looks at the top hundred or so wishlisted, and those are almost entirely appropriate PC games, although some of them are a little new. And honestly, who cares about misspellings, we still know what those votes are for and GOG knows what we want.
I think we need a best of the wishlist thread to archive the silliest of wishes.
Stuff like adobe photoshop, unreleased and console games
Also, Arcanum: Teamwork and Magic Obscure got a vote after Arcanum was added to GOG's catalogue, wut?

This again? Didn't we just cover this last week for the hundredth time? If you have a suggestion for the website, we already have a thread for that or you can just send it directly to GOG support through the site.
We have been asking for a modification/clean up of the wishlist since the day it was implemented and it is supposed to happen as part of one of the next site upgrades (perhaps the one coming in March), but it still won't change the fact that it is a wishlist; people are going to put what they wish to see on GOG on that list, even if it is ridiculous. Those requests are really simple to deal with: don't vote for them. Misspellings? Don't vote for them. Console games? Well, you can always wish for it to happen, but IMO it is never going to happen, so I'm not going to vote for it. New games? Those actually should be on the wishlist, since eventually they will be old games and if they are good games, then we will probably want them on GOG, so of all the things on the wishlist people complain about, this one makes no sense whatsoever to me.
Everything else that is wrong with the wishlist from a functionality standpoint, we really can't do anything about, but the GOG staff have already been told multiple times what everyone thinks about what they should do to the wishlist and if people bothered to search or read the "Welcome" sticky they would already know that...
Then again, people can't be bothered to search the wishlist for existing entries before creating a new one, why should we expect any different in forum posts?

You should only post "question" threads if you have an actual question I think. The reply you choose that's the best answer to your question gets bonus rep and... well, there is no question here.
Well, having worked on a few real world projects with other folks that required a LOT of extra (and VERY time consuming) cleaning up of old, useless data that should have been cleared up before it got to the state it was in, I was approaching this problem (or non-problem, according to some here) in the same manner.
I figured yes, it would be cleaned up at some point. Maybe not by the busy GOG staff, but someone who had time to pore over, edit and merge or delete stuff. DO votes for games spelled five different ways tally as one game or five?
Anyway, feel free to close this topic. Amusingly enough - it's like voting (or not voting) on a game. If you don't like it, just don't waste your time responding :^D
