I was going to make a topic about the bestselling list last October, a year after GOG's publicity stunt. I never did it though. I haven't kept up on the list lately but here's how I remember it back then: Fallout 1 & 2 have always been #1 & #2 besides the free games. Planescape: Torment was the #6 game behind Fallout 1 & 2, Freespace 2, Arcanum, and Duke Nukem 3D. There was a D&D sale around that time that pushed Planescape: Torment and Baldur's Gate 2 into #3 & #4 respectively.
I do believe that the list is an all-time list too. Back then I kept an eye on the EA titles every once in a while to see how well they were doing. They would start at the bottom of the list and slowly rise up the list, sometimes not rising past the bottom 30 for a couple weeks.
I didn't ever create the topic or take screen-shots so you'll have to take my word for it, which may not be worth much here.
The whole point of the topic I was going to make was that based on the bestselling list where all seven of the D&D titles announced after the publicity stunt were in the top 20 of the best selling a year later, GOG's publicity stunt was a success. I thought it might bring up hurt feelings though so I didn't make it.
