Is there an option to buy the original cd-images of old games?

Because I have my own dosbox setup and prefer to manually install & configure games into it either from my old CDs or backup-images which I made. I also have an old computer on which I prefer to run some of the old games natively. (the GOG versions won't even work in DOS or Win98)

I'm likely in the .001% minority here, so it's understandable if unmodified game images aren't up for sale, but if they are, then GOG will have another customer.
Sadly, there is no such option. However, a few games actually have full CD images as part of distribution - Tex Murphy series comes to mind, there are some others.
no you can't, sorry.
I don't think the games that use Dosbox are that heavily modified that you couldn't simply disable the shortcut functionality and configure the .exe to start in your version of Dbx.

Most of GOG's DOS releases can be used on a real DOS machine with a bit of tinkering; has excellent videos covering the steps needed for each type of GOG install: [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_cc838XPm4]hard drive only, HDD+ISO CD-ROM, BIN/CUE files - NO ogg files, BIN/CUE files - WITH ogg files.

A few GOG releases use ScummVM instead of DOSBox; these don't include the DOS executable and other files not needed by ScummVM, so these can't be run under real DOS.
