Hey guys,

So I was watching the music video for White Zombie's "Black Sunshine" the other day, and I noticed something..the house that you see coming up through the corn field in the beginning of the video, is that not the house from the original Night of the Living Dead?? The house and yard look exactly like it! Hell, even the field seems to be correct, going off of a promo shot for the movie featuring about 20 zombies in a field. (It's the one that actually has a couple zombies taken from it to be put on the box art of Zombies Ate My Neighbors. You should be able to find it relatively easy). The last similarity that I noticed is right before the guitar solo and the shots of the band playing in front of a live crowd, they flash a few split seconds of the porch on the house, and that seems to be correct as well.

Can anybody confirm it's the same house? Or at least take a look at both and tell me I'm not crazy? Cause they look exactly alike, yard and everything. The basement doesn't look the same (from what I remember), but I'd be willing to put money on that it's the same house in both videos, from the outside at least. I tried finding something on the internet if it's the same house or not, but nothing. It'd make a lot of sense though, as Rob is obviously a huge horror movie fan, and there's several samples from Night of the Living Dead used in the album Black Sunshine is off of, La Sexorcisto.

Thanks guys!
I can't help you, but it would not surprise me. Rob Zombie has always been into old horror movies. Hell, he even directed a few of the newer ones. If you notice he also uses a lot of soundbites from old movies in his music.
I think the Black Sunshine house looks taller and narrower than the Night of the Living Dead (1968) one buy they do have some similarities so I can see the comparison. Plus the Black Sunshine house (see at 1:10 of the video )lacks the same sort of porch you see in NOTLD. Also looking at the beams of light from the rafters of the Black Sunshine video (around 1:30) suggests it's a soundstage or different location, not an actual basement.

Did you look at the wiki...it doesn't mention anything about the house. Except for where he got a couple of his lyrics and of course Iggy Pop playing the writer.
Quoth wikipedia: "The outdoor, indoor (downstairs) and basement scenes were filmed at a location northeast of Evans City, near a park. The basement door (external view) shown in the film was cut into a wall by the production team and led nowhere. As this house was scheduled for demolition, damage during filming was permitted. The site is now a turf farm."
