ovoon: I skipped Black Ops. I think I played it on a free weekend.

However, I've played a ton of pretty much every major CoD since the first game.

The series is garbage, and is doing more harm to the game industry than... sports games.

However, I find myself enjoying them. Quite a bit. More so than I should.

CoD 1, 2 and 4 had some excellent campaigns though, I will say that.

nijuu: COD4 pretty much had the right balance of the recent COD games. Very good SP and excellent multi. Ones coming after it were either too short SP wise or the multiplayer was **** (im looking at you MW2 and 3). Black Ops was pretty fun for MP AFTER what seemed like hundreds of patches.

ovoon: Juggernaut and martyrdom? Those kinda ruined the CoD 4 multiplayer balance for me.

Not that I'm saying the later ones are more balanced, just CoD 4 had major annoyances for me. I still find calling in brutal killstreaks that do all the work for you and last stand needs to be removed. Seriously, you can kill someone, then they get an extra amount of health with last stand and you die, or someone steals the kill. So annoying. Even if they bleed out, you wont get the points. I think Black Ops changed that but MW3 kept it stupid.
Oh i dont know. COD4 multi was the first MP i really got into and completed (lvl 50). Yes u had juggernaut and yes u had martyrdom but u get the good with the bad. Still go back to it on and off :). Black Ops multi was just as playable.... except for the horrendous number of patches it needed to get to a playable state :/.

FraterPerdurabo: MW2 is great for the Spec Ops. The game is worth the money for those alone.
MW3 spec ops is great. The survival mode is an absolute blast, it's like zombies, just way way better.

MW3's Spec Ops was a letdown for me. I found the equivalent in MW2 to be infinitely better.

To be honest, I didn't actually play the mission spec ops bit. I just did survival mode. Personally, I love that.

The one thing that MW2 has over MW3 is the maps. MW3 are so boring.
I jumped on the bandwagon with Black Ops. I enjoyed the campaing well enough, but I prefer to play at my own pace, and it just didn't let me. Not something I need to play again. I mainly got if more MP though. Its really good MP. I played it pretty hard for a week or two. After that I was just done. Its pretty much an arena shooter. No real tactics or anything. Just kill or be killed. No real teamwork either. Team matches are just regular DM, but some of the guys aren't trying to kill you. With the exception of Zombies, the game modes all play more or less the same. Black Ops is really good at what it does. My problem with it is that It doesn't do enough. The game has no variety, and that Is what I value the most. I don't play enough multiplayer to buy every MP game that comes out. I really just want one or two games that can deliver what I want when I get a craving. I bought the game for $60, and after I was done with it I got $40 for it at a local trade-in shop. I feel I got $20 worth out of it, so Im satisfied.
