The Buy 1 and Get 1 Free promotion ended on Sunday 21, September. The codes were sent by email straight after purchase which met the conditions of the promotion.

You guys should make that more clear without needing to dig in the forums.

The promotion details do state that it is when you buy your first game. While we would all love a continuing deal like that, giving away half their catalog to each user would not fare well for them financially. I am just grateful for the one we did get, which I still can't decide which game to spend it on!

Believe me, I'm not mad. I'm extremely happy with GOG. Still, I took the "when you buy your first game" wording as conversational, not a limitation. They may just want to add "Limit one free game per member" or something to the bulleted list of conditions.

When you buy your first game. Not when you buy a game. You only buy your first game once! :) Seems clear cut to me. I bought Messiah and picked up MDK. Interplay made some great games!
Can't really complain about the "first game" limitation when everything's $6.
Hey, it's a great way to get Fallout 1 +2, and get myself ready for 3 !

Cool. I just bought Hostile Waters but didn't receive a code for a free game. Is there a time period before receiving?
Thanks!
This is great! I was debating which fallout to get, now I got both. Finally I can try them out, I never got to play the original series.
Good idea for a promotion - now I can go tell people to get Fallout 1/2 for 3$ apiece, it's a steal. (Gotta spread the word about good old games, y'know. And Good Old Games, too, while I'm at it)
However, thanks to my previous subscription to a once-great magazine that came with bundled games, I already have most of the Interplay catalogue. (Back in the day, even games bundled with magazines were better: a steady stream of classics.) Now, as far as I understand, the promotional deal works until Sep. 22nd - how many additional games are to be expected to be added until then? I know I'm getting JA2: Unfinished Business either way, but it'd be a shame to let the coupon go to waste. Even if it's just 6$ or so.
Another related question: can the coupon itself be given away? The promotional terms do state that you'll only get the unlock code if you've signed up for an account with the same email as the beta, but say nothing about the code being tied to that very same account. This could be a good way to have people sign up even if they were late for the Sep. 7 deadline.
Wow. Best promotion ever. It really really really is. I mean, getting Fallout 2 and Freespace 2 for...spare change? It's a steal - and removes any urge left in me to pirate these old jewels. (And I actually got another way to get them now!)

And the only!
Awesome! Got me Freespace 2 along with the Descent 1/2 package. $2 a peice is more than a steal. Good service :D.
One thing I don't like about this deal is I just join GOG.com to day 9/11 but I can't remember when I put my email for the beta . I don't know if I can get the deal intell I buy a game. Because I want to buy all 3 Fallout games but I don't know if I want to buy it here or get the
Fallout Collection at the store.

HI. I purchased a game yesterday but still have not received the code for the free game. I also contacted GOG through the Contact Us feature on the website, but haven't heard anything yet. Could you help me with this?
Thanks in advance,

I have the same issue as you. I'm still waiting for my code. :(
quick question, if you guys don't fix your purchase system before this ends.... will you extend the promotion so that those who couldnt buy because of a glitch on your part have the same promotion.....
