Well hellooooooooo... It's been awhile since my last giveaway, but luckily for you here we go again.

Your task this time around is simple. I'm building a gaming rig. You will choose a GPU from the ones listed below. The GPU with the most votes TONIGHTZ will be chosen to go into my rig at the end of the giveaway. Please do not make me regret the decision of putting this critical choice of hardware in your (hopefully) capable hands. This is going to be short and sweet. So, get your shit together and get an entry in if you want to win.

Your choices of GPU are:

SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850

EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (Fermi)

MSI R6870 Twin Frozr II Radeon HD 6870

XFX Double D HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870

A winner or winners will be chosen by the lovely random number generator at Random.org. The winner/s will have the choice of Bulletstorm or one equally valued game such as the ones listed in this weekends GOG promo.

Let's get this party started and good luck to you all!

(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)

Bulletstorm Giveaway First Half Winner:

M10M

Congratulations! M10M will be PMd shortly.

The EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti won the voting well ahead of the other GPUs offered up for selection. This is also the most expensive of the lot. It's been ordered and it's going in the rig. I would like to thank everyone for playing. I hope everyone had a good time. Thank you all for your help.

Voting results:

SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850
IIII

EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (Fermi)
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

MSI R6870 Twin Frozr II Radeon HD 6870
I

XFX Double D HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870
I

Second half starts here:

Now, for a second run at a shot for a game from the current GOG weekend promo or one of the ones listed below... We gonna take another shot at this. If you can be bothered to do this; spec out your own budget build. My goal was to get somewhere between 5 and 700 USD. The final build pushed me over that limit bringing the total to $785.92 because of the GPU. The GPU pushed me 100 USD over my budget that I set for the build, but in the long run I think it will be worth it. So, here's your task for the second part of this giveaway. Spec your own budget gaming rig. Keep it a budget rig. I'll give you a 650 USD to work with. That should be enough to get you going. You notice I didn't include things like an OS or optical drive in mine to trim some of the fat. I don't need them. So, there you go. Second drawing will take place some time today (it's Sunday here)! Your current selection is limited to this weekends GOG promo until the current winner chooses their game. Then the others will drop back into the prize pool.

Good luck to you all!

BTW: I've just re-read my own rules. Let me make this clear. I'm awarding a game. Not the funds to build your own budget PC. I'm saying spec your own budget build within the 650 range. :P

I use the EVGA GTX 560 myself and I have to give that one a recommendation. I really have never been displeased with any EVGA product I've purchased. I jumped to them after BFG stopped producing cards, and I do not regret it in the slightest. If you're going to build a rig, I have to recommend Nvidia cards, and EVGA is one of the nicest and easiest to deal with companies I've had the pleasure of dealing with.

^_^

If I were to win I'd like:
Zork Anthology, Return to Zork, Ultima 7, Freedom Force vs The Third Reich, or XIII

Thank you :)

Just got the game from Steam, so I don't need bulletstorm. I wonder if I can get a Indie Gala above average. Afterall, thanks for doing giveaway!

I'll say depend on your CPU and motherboard,
If they are from AMD, I'll say forget about Nvidia
Otherwise, I'll always pick Nvidia.
It seem like Nvidia give you way less compativity problems with games.

the_bard: *snip*
I'd go the EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (Fermi) - nVidia hardware *tends* to be more stable and consistant then ATI/AMD

On the other hand, if you go the AMD route I'd go for the 6850 - pretty sure you can BIOS flash / mod it to become a 6870 fairly easily... though google is your friend here - I may be getting confused with a different series of ATI/AMD cards

And I'd love to enter for Bulletstorm (though I won't knock back a GOG :P) - thanks for the giveaway! :)

I've had only a single AMD GPU and it was terrible (was already out of support when I bought it even though it was less than a year after its release).

So for that I'd recommend the EVGA card.

But compare it performance-wise and price-wise with the XFX one, if the XFX performs closely or better, get that one because it is cheaper.
evga. If anything goes wrong, they'll make it right.
My vote goes for Sapphire card but only because I had some cards of this company and they never failed me.
My vote goes to the SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850, because i always had good experience with the videocards from this vendor.

I'm entering for the chance to win Bulletstorm.

Thanks for the giveaway.
I would go for the GeForce. So far I've been pretty happy with the (cheap, discounted) Nvidia cards I've acquired. Dunno if I will still use an Nvidia card when I build a new machine, but so far I've been relatively happy with them.
I'd buy the Sapphire card too. Used a few cards from them and they worked fine.

(I'll enter fot Bulletstorm)

I have Bulletstorm, I dont care what you put in your rig, I have a Radeon, its shite, take from that what you will.
Go for the GeForce GTX 560. Fuck AMD.
I'd go with the GTX 560... but if you're building an AMD rig, might wanna stick with the 6850. That's just me, though, I like to stick with nVidia/Geforce or AMD/Radeon.

Oh, and I already have Bulletstorm, so either Zork Anthology or Grand Inquisitor would be my game of choice :)

I'd go for the 560 TI. EVGA is a great cardmaker, and going NVIDIA gives you the option of doing 3D gaming if you so desire. You also get the option of using PhysX in games that support it. The card will definitely last you until the next time you need to upgrade.

I'd like the Zork Anthology if I get chosen.
