I forgot just how awesome this movie is. Yes, Keanu Reeves really sucks in it. But every other part of the movie is absolutely amazing. I'm not usually the one for artsy stuff, but I love every crazy bit of it. Gary Oldman is great as Dracula, and Anthony Hopkins adds his own brand of crazy to Van Helsing. If I ever reach my dream of working with films, I only hope to be a small cog in a machine as awesome as this one.

reading reviews ITT for Bram Stoker's Dracula made me lol pretty hard. i remember watching it a few times when it was first released and thinking it was SO AWESOME!
my gf didn't see it, we rented it last year and it really didn't age well. i was embarassed because i was going on about the awesomeness of Dracula, Oldman.....Hopkins, Ryder...Reeves IT CAN'T LOSE!! i think we turned it off 45 minutes into it =/

Eh, I can see where you're coming from, but I have to disagree. I've read the book, and while they do stray far, far from it, as a separate entity it is a success. As for the aging, I felt that it was not random. It seemed like something the Count could somewhat control almost all of the time, which again, is different from the book, but it worked here.
One man's trash is another man's treasure, so while I understand and somewhat agree with your viewpoints, this is one movie I'll love no matter what others think of it.
I liked it, but I can't get around how bad Keanu is in it. (and he usually isn't as bad as people say - but this time he's worse).
Keanu Reeves was one hell of a massive miscast. That was like casting Ice Cube as a cheerleader.

Or Jack Black as the lead in Die Hard: Live Tenaciously.

You've got to admit though, the scene in the air vent would have been hilarious, even if it did represent the abrupt end of the film.
Monica Belluci can drain my veins anytime she pleases.
loved that film

As a horror movie enthusiast, it was okay. As a teenage boy, the 'almost an orgy but not entirely an orgy' scene was the best part of the movie. There, mixed views.
