You could always make "The Complete Works of Shakespeare: The Game", in a similar style to "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"....

With respect to Star Wars games, no, not all of them. Only the ones made after one LucasArts exec said to himself: "You know, we don't have to make quality games. We could just make any kind of crappy game, slap Star Wars on the cover, and all the stupid quality-ignorant geeks would still be lined up around the block to buy them."

I think I've played a few before that time, and I found them to be boring.

Its more that there was a period where they didn't say that, before and after they thought about quality it was shit but there was that brief window of good games. Either side of that was yoda stories & star wars battlefront...

Since nobody else has mentioned it, the Rainbow Six game was so not faithful to the book. The book hadn't even been finished when they made the bulk of the game, so the similarities are next to none.

Yes of course! It makes perfect sense now! There horrible and shitty and that's why they sell so well. That also explains perfectly why I think there so fun. Jesus man, you are a true genius!

Yup, just Like the madden series of games, or any movie tie in with a video game, people will buy them because of the brand and not the actual content.

What's your opinion of Dark Forces, Jedi Knight etc.?
Or perhaps Knights of the Old Republic?
Or Tie Fighter or X-Wing?
I can think of four Star Wars games I really like, and a couple of passable ones. Now, there are worse ones I've omitted, but those examples I played and liked, except for KOTOR which I haven't played.

And as far as LOTR games go, I've played some older ones when I was younger (I forget the names) and I had my hands on a few of the movie tie in ones, and they were just disgusting ate fests..

I found that Tie Fighter was my favourite - one of the best space shooters, although can't say how it holds up these days. Haven't played Dark Forces since it was out first time around, but Jedi Knight II was/is very good, much better lightsaber battles. Jedi Academy had good lightsaber stuff, but the rest was a bit average.
Can't say I've ever played a LOTR game, possibly the only way they could make a decent one might be a RTS or something.

OK so what about the quality games that happen to have movies or books backing them up? You just assume movie/book based games are inherently bad and don't even give them a try do you? Assumption is the base of prejudice. And prejudice is the essence of stupidity.

A game based on War of the Ancients would be nice. :)
Yes, I know that Blizzard have released eight Warcraft games so far, but none has explained/detailed much about the time when the Burning Legion first came to conquer Azeroth.
