I can confirm that the font looks cracked in Opera 12.01, at least at 100% zoom level. It does not look cracked in Firefox.

It's probably not much help to recommend switching to Firefox, but in my opinion, Opera - which I had been using for more than 10 years - is on the decline since the Speed Dial 2 disaster. After the browser dropped functionality that was important for me, and the moderators on the official forums deleting my posts, _changing_ one of my posts without notifying me or even adding a note to the post that it was changed, one moderator banning other users for asking questions about a non-working function, one moderator refusing to answer my questions and refusing to tell me how I can contact her superior, moderators removing a simple _mention_ of Firefox from posts, and further degrading browser quality in Opera 12 (extremely long waiting times on GamersGate, extreme stutter in Guild Wars that goes away as soon as I close Opera, display compatibility problems ...), I finally decided that it the undeniably great past of this browser unfortunately doesn't justify putting up with the current crap anymore.

It took a while to make Firefox work the way I wanted it to, but since then, I haven't looked back.

It's been doing the same on Chrome, i've noticed 3 or 4 days back.
