Also rather funny. I was browsing the playstation store to see what I can get for my new PS Vita & came across the game in the attached image. Says it all really

Sad and funny at the same time. Poor Australians getting ripped at every opportunity.

Why do they have such bad prices? Taxes?
That's actually pretty funny xD

Technically it supposed to be something to do with the cost of living, we apparently get an even deal with america & europe if you take the cost of a game as a percentage of the weekly wage or something along those lines.

Alternatively, its easily summarised as "The Australia Tax"

This isn't the worst though, the black library holds the record there. Bought the latest Ciaphas Cain ebook for which they charged me $25. The american customers (with whos currency we have parity) are charged 12 bucks for the ebook or 25 for the fucking hardcover.

It is rather, as much as its an outrageous ripoff, its too funny to get that pissed at

The real comedy would be if that game was $3.45 everywhere, just to screw with people's heads.
I'm questioning why that's part of the title.
You're not alone.

Sublime parody of $1=€1 pricing or blatant ripoff? You decide.

Maybe he could have titled it "Shooter blah blah for two recently severed fingers. Don't have to be your own." At least everyone has the same exchange rate for that, though I don't think the folks running the crematorium will like that too much.

Heh well at least the euro version LOOKS like its got the right price as long as you don't think about the price gouging

The Australia Tax is real, and it's awful. Our Dollar is worth more than the USD, but we still pay 20-50% more for video games and software. New release console games can cost over $100 now.

Microsoft is really bad at this. Check this out:
Windows 7 Pro Full on Amazon: $250
Windows 7 Pro Upgrade at Officeworks: $384
Windows 7 Pro Full at Officeworks: $438
