I want to borrow this movie from my local library, and I really don't want to watch 4 different versions of it. So in everyone's own opinion, what makes any of the versions "better" than the others? It looks like the versions are...
Theatrical cut, International cut, Director's cut, Final Cut

Theatrical Cut. Unlike others, I prefer the original.

I prefer the theatrical cut as well. Deckard's voiceover narration (IMHO) is a positive and I like the ending better. I have the theatrical and Final Cut . . . =)

The longer the better.
Director's cut is less a 80's video clip than theatrical's cut.
Director's is a movie, theatrical's are pictures.

Is this voiceover missing from the others?

I'd go with the original version.. After some time You'll be willing to see the others..;)

Am unfamiliar w/ the Final Cut but it's probably what you want to watch, which is the Directors cut with the REAL finish to the movie.
The theatrical is great esp for nostalgia, but you can save it for when caught on TV/with casual audience for that effect.
The Directors cut has a deeper and darker feel to it somehow and it's not because it's just a longer movie.
If it's something you think you'd enjoy you might want to see the complete story.

I'd say go with Directors cut or Final Cut. The main difference between those two are, that Scott fixed a couple of contiunity errors (like the dove scene in the end, or a clear stunt woman instead of the real actor in one scene) from the film and cleaned some wires out of the flying car scenes of the Final Cut.
The difference between Final Cut and theatric cuts are more severe. Theatric cut has voice overs by Ford, which are good in some places, very unfitting in others. There also is a happy end in theatric cut, while Final Cut and Directors Cut leave things a bit more vague.
Oh, and Final Cut also has some extended scenes in it, before any one else mentions it :D

wait people like the crappy voice over??? it was disastrous it should never have happend but the studio insisted. Watch the final cut it's good and leaves you thinking as the directors cut does the theatrical cut is just schmaltz at the end.
:edit: However I do recommend you watch the final followed by the theatrical verions they are both different and lead to very different interpretations

It's not in the Final Cut, not sure about the others but I believe the theatrical is the only version with the voice over.
I went to see BR on release with some friends. We were blown away and . . when it ended . . . we all decided to see it again . . NOW. So, it's about nostalgia for me. The world shouts "the studio ruined it" but at the time, early 80's, it was FANTASTIC and we had NOTHING to compare it to. I liked the tired Bogart voice-over as it "sounded" like a cop totally disillusioned with the world. I like the newer versions as well but . . . it's the original that brings back the memories and impact the movie had on us geeky SciFi fans . . . =)

Final Cut. It's the movie as it was meant to be, rather than simply how it was originally portrayed. Not to give any spoilers, but if you're observant you'll get more out of the Final Cut.

Actually I'd go with the Final Cut. I hear it was the one that Ridley Scott had no interference from the studio execs and he could go nuts with it.

Where would we be without some restraint from the studio execs? Coppola wanted to make Bram Stoker's Dracula with absolutely no sets, and at one point it was going to be mostly shadow puppets. That would've been awful, and the studio knew that, which is why we have the great version we do today.

Blade Runner is my favorite movie and I definitely prefer the new "Final Cut" version, the Blu-Ray is amazing and the movie works the best it ever has.
The theatrical voice over is liked by some, but it was forced on the movie against the director and star's wishes solely in an attempt to dumb the movie down for ignorant audiences. I don't like it one bit.

I have the Four Disc DVD Collector's Edition and prefer the Final Cut. Ridley Scott is an amazing Director and the Final Cut is great. I haven't seen the Blu-Ray but will spring for it when the price is right.
One triva note - Sean Young is playing a character on my wife's soap - Young and the Restless. I noticed her right away - boy we are all getting old.
