RealMikeBob: Never going to happen unfortunately. I seem to recall reading about licencing issues and the loss of the original assets during Westwoods closure.
You mean the violent and brutal raping that took place when EA acquired them?

Yeh, that'll be the one.
What a shame. I would have loved to checked this game out.
A landmark trailblazer of a game when it was initially released, ahead of its time with many adventure game elements that other developer companies took years to incorporate as standard.

Now unfortunately it shows the warts of age, though it'd still be a shoe-in for a GOG release. I remember trying to get this to run on modern OS configurations about a year ago, and always had problems getting the game to save properly, or at all.

The movie is timeless, and my favorite Harrison Ford role. Pity it was all downhill for 80s It Girl Sean Young from here.
Yeah it was a great game. One of the only games I have ever pre-ordered. I saw trailer for it on my Command and Conquer red alert CD and I was stunned.

Having said that, it wasn't actually much of a game. More of an experience, but unforgettable.

The movie is truly a cult classic. I've only met people who loved it or hated it.

Ridley Scott has recently announced he is making a Blade Runner 2. Am I the only one who thinks that is a bad idea?
I actually remember first seeing the trailer for it in Red Alert iirc.

Another game for rights hell.

Blade Runner only worked because of the cast. I honestly cannot place my finger on anyone who's smug and mirthless enough to play the role of a Blade Runner, or quirky enough to be a Replicant. But hey, if it's Ridley Scott...

I would much prefer if he made a new Blade runner, that more closely followed the book (while the movie Blade Runner was very good, the book was, as is almost always the case, better).

And as for the game: It had great atmosphere, the sound & graphics both helped creating an interesting experience. The puzzles themselves were not nearly as good though.
Well worth the ~5-10€ that you can usually find it for, but don't pay much more than that.
is this game really good?I never heard of it
I took the time recently to make a copy of the CDs to install later on my netbook.
I hope it works on Windows 7, though I have doubts.
If I remember correctly, I installed it once on Windows XP and there was a game breaking bug not far from the begining, when you're supposed to practice shooting.

PS: Also, the movie is much better than the book... ;)
