As you may remember Interplay "resurrected" Black Isle earlier this year, if only in name, well now they have a project and are asking for fans to help get it off the ground:

There are a few problems with their plan though, the biggest one being that they're asking money to make a "proof of concept" prototype to get further investments, that alone isn't a problem but this is an actual company not a few guys in their garage trying to make their first game, so knowing that they're not able to even put together a prototype on their own doesn't inspire much confidence. Not only that but if you watch the video you'll see they say it's been in development for a while yet they don't even show artwork or models.
Worse thing is this isn't even an actual kickstarter, so they don't give an estimated release date OR a goal for funding. They're asking us to give them money based just on an idea with no guarantee it'll ever see the light of day or that we'll get our money back if it doesn't, even if it does there is absolutely no rewards for it, we don't get the game at release, an early beta access or even a concept art pdf book, we're doing it just for the sake of doing a good deed I guess. All this combined with how Forsaken Fortress seems to have the same basic premise and they already shown us videos of it at work, I don't see why anyone should support this campaign.
But that's just my opinion, I wanna see what everyone else thinks and whether or not you intend to donate and why. So I'll hold back my negativity for a while, I spewed enough of it for now.
