Why did 2k keep GFWL for Bioshock 2 when Borderlands and other games from them had full Steam compatibility?

Borderlands was not a Steamworks game.

Right.
BL uses GameSpy for middleware, for all versions (Retail or ANY Digital).

Though, I think most BL PC gamers are split b/t GameRanger and GameSpy...

Minerva's Den is now out for PC, a year late. I just played the first half of it and it is very good if you like Bioshock.

I'm counting 6 DLCs for BioShock 2 at GFWM.

That is all that was made or there's any DLC still exclusive to consoles? I'll buy only when can have all the content on PC, dear 2K.

It's all out on PC now. Minerva's Den and Protector Trials are the only ones worthwhile for singleplayer. Protector Trials is free.

I just finished Minerva's Den and it has some really nice story content. In the end though it suffers the same issue as Bioshock 2 did in my opinion, which is lackluster level design and just feeling like a retread. Also for some reason I could not get my mouse control to feel good in this game, for whatever reason.

MysterD: The Saboteur (PC) was severely underrated.
Awesome swan song from Pandemic.
Agreed. Had a great time playing it, memorable game too with awesome atmosphere. A mix of Assassin's Creed + GTA in WWII.

Cool, thanks. I'll try to get all the DLCs, but that's another battle, for GFWL accept my money since I'm from South America...

I wish Steam would sell a GotY or something.

Yeah people say it's good, and more colorful/stylish than most games out there.

Gundato: Okay. Console games tend to retail for 60 bucks these days, while PC games tend to retail for 50 bucks.

You pay much less for a PC game than a console. That price difference is coming from somewhere and (usually) boils down to less options (DLC) if you're going the cheaper way.
That makes absolutely no sense what so ever. You're forgetting that it costs less in licensing for a company to release a PC version. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they make more money per copy on the PC than a console version of a game.

Not to mention if the DLC is being sold for a price, then economically it turns in favor for the PC even more, as they won't have to pay for the licensing to distribute it over XBox Live or PSN, and they're charging the same price for the DLC across all systems.

Borderlands doesn't have full steam compatibility, it still used gamespy for the multiplayer.

Wow. Necro.

I'll just sum it up with: I agree. That post (from what it looks like) was mostly to point out the fallacy of Siannah's argument. He argued that consoles (the PS3 and XBOX themselves) are cheaper than PCs, so they don't get all the features we care so much about (dedicated servers and modding tools). So I made the exact same (flawed) argument that we don't get DLC because we pay less for games.
I swear to god I really hate 2K for being so selfish and I feel like not bother buying their games at all.

Oh doh! I didn't even realize it was a necro thread. I saw it on the front page and responded to it. :D
