Aliasalpha: Oh we get royally raped on prices by everyone, I just find it interesting that steam is still listing prices in usd and jacking up the prices of select high profile games to be closer to australian shelf price. MW2 is 90 on our steam store, 60 on theirs. Bioshock 2 is similar but games like star trek online seem to be the same price regardless. This smells a wee bit like naked profiteering...
Interestingly enough, it seems I can do a transactions from the american site linked above with the american price for bioshock 2. Had I the PC to run it I might well do it just to see if it works.
It's not very different from Europe - we pay $75 for a game on Steam as well (US$). It's silly really: many online stores ship for free for half that price without being tied to Steam.
