I've heard that GOG games installed on Vista have 512X512 icons included in their directories. Is this true? And if so, why doesn't XP get them, I would like to use them in ObjectDock, which I use to launch my most used programs.

not true for fallout
EDIT:
it is true actually, it's included so that when the game is installed it shows up under 'games' in the start menu. I do believe they should include it.

All their games include the icon in an .ico file in the game directory.
e.g. 'C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Fallout\gfw_high.ico'
I don't know what object dock uses, but I think I read somewhere that it uses PNG. There are websites that do PNG->ICO and ICO->PNG conversions.
I've made a few GOG-like icons for other games and posted them in this thread (in PNG format), in case it's of interest.

Are you sure these are not Vista only? Because the only icons I have for Descent 1,2,3 ; Fallout, and Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 is the standard 48x48 or smaller icons. Oh, and Objectdock can use both .ICO and .PNG files.

Yes, I'm certain, I have both windows xp and vista at home, and like bpops says it's 'C:Program FilesGOG.comFalloutgfw_high.ico' sorta.
I was unable to open that file in windows xp, but that could have just been because the CD i burnt was all oily. really just need to get down filesharin on the network instead.
anyway, they are vista only.
