Since the last entry, I've been testing some programs. I leave here the results, hope they serve to help someone with the same problem.
TL;DR: The best among the tested in the list below would be Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder, FirmTools Duplicate Photo Finder or even Img Search.
Still looking for the ideal program... :)
---
The folder used for the tests was a directory with 975 pictures (mostly color illustrations, with a percentage of 5% in B&W illustrations and sketches), scanned repeatedly by other programs (Visipics & Anti-Twin) until they found no more similarities.
Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder
- found 227 similar groups with 454 images (without a single false positive)
- very fast / almost no configuration options
Detwinner (trial version)
- with 80% sensitivity, 69 groups with 147 found similar images (8 false positives: B&W drawings)
- no options to rename or move, just delete, list of results very unfriendly
- trial limited to 1000 images
DupKiller
- scans only whole logical drives --> not tested.
Duplicate Cleaner Free
- free version has no image search --> not tested.
Duplicate Images Finder
- very slow and strong use of CPU --> not tested.
- consist only on a small window that lets you choose the directory to scan
FirmTools Duplicate Photo Finder
- found 98 groups with 198 similar images (without a single false positive)
- no rename option, trial version can't move or delete the duplicates found
- very fast
Image Deduplicator
- found only one group with 2 similar images
- half translated into English, the rest in German
Img Search
- 2002 program with Windows 95 interface (uses the PC speaker to beep when it find a duplicate)
- with 85% sensitivity (default) found 80 groups with 168 similar images (one false positive)
- with 75% sensitivity found 89 groups with 190 similar images (13 false positives)
Picture Relate
- took a long time to read the directory, but is quick to search it
- allows to change the sensitivity and search again on the fly (without repeating the directory reading)
- option to compare the images found in full screen
- 12 groups of 2-3 images each, other group with many false positives (over 50 B&W drawings)
Similar Images
- groups of similar images presented consecutively, rather than a list of all them
- with a threshold of 35% (default) found 20 groups with 40 similar images (3 false positives: B & W drawings-)
