No other reason than I just have so many games to play. I'm slowly working my way through the massive pile of games, but it (of course) takes me longer to play them than to accumulate them. I'm trying though. Really, I am!

4-6: Too many other RPGs & Action-Adventures I'm still in the midst of playing, and epic games like those kind of scare me anyway.
7-10: System requirements too high for my current (onboard) graphic card. :(

Well, top of my head:

Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Baal.

I played BG 1 and actually finished it on the third try. But about 8 hours into BG 2 I just couldn't take it anymore. Utterly boring story and storytelling. I literally knew regularly what happened next in the game, before it was revealed. The best part of BG 2 was the few PS:T references. Whoever had the idea that the infinity engine was a good idea for RPGs should be flogged severely.

How people consider those two amongst the best games/RPGs is beyond me. Especially when the oh-so-much better Fallout were around at the same time.

A lot of what I pick up during Steam sales. Diablo 1 is probably the game I've had for the longest without playing it. (I have played it on a friend's computer, though).

Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Sanitarium.

Boy, does that sound like me - accumulating new ones faster than I can play through what I already have! I am trying too! I keep a long list broken out by genre and ordered by release date of what I want to play and remove a title from the list once I have played it but the going is slow. I am very likely to die one day with a sizable backlog! I am fortunate to have such a problem though and I am thankful for it.

I'm currently playing and enjoying Jade Empire and World of Warcraft. I've dabbled a little in Payday: The Heist too and it's a very good game as well. Oh, and I am playing SSX 3 on my PS2. I just installed Ultima 1 (Mac version!) to play too. So many games and so little time for them all - and I am home all the time!

I've too much to make a proper list, but I remember that once ago where there was no digital nor sales nor GoG, I played all the game I had.

I'm playing this one now and having a lot of fun with it. 92 hours invested so far and I think I still have a fair bit yet before the end.

And this is part of the problem. I love big CRPG/ARPG games, but I generally only get 2 or 3 hours a day for gaming, so a big game like KoA is going to be at least a 2 month commitment to finish. And that just gives a whole lot more time for sales to crop up and my backlog to grow.

As you noted though, there are worse problems to have. lol

You owe it to yourself to play this, really, for other reasons than simply enjoying a game. You may never see gaming the same again afterward.
What? That has got to be the dumbest policy I've heard in awhile...
I think it was simply refreshingly adult, which at times has been sorta hard to come by anything like that in the RPG genre. Don't get me wrong, you can find RPGs with plenty of muted or graphic violence, but any other adult themes will inevitably be missing or toned down to the level of an adolescent level novel.

Red Dead Redemption on PS3 and I think the sequel/DLC/whatever which came with it seems to get a lot of acclaim but the box still sits next to my PS3.

I want to finish Assassin's Creed 2 first, but I can't seem to find the motivation to play through the second half.

A fantastic game that deserves playing, but sadly I think most people don't even know that they're missing out on it, let alone be in the boat of owning it and just not having gotten around to playing it.

Fantastic no, good maybe, if it had a save game feature. Don't know what they were thinking - lack of save game is acceptable only in slow paced games. No wonder Giants flopped.
