OneFiercePuppy: Wh-
Why in god's name have you not played these games?
Coelocanth: No other reason than I just have so
many games to play. I'm slowly working my way through the massive pile of games, but it (of course) takes me longer to play them than to accumulate them. I'm trying though. Really, I am!
OneFiercePuppy: Ok, look. You're from Canada, right? The system is pretty good for supporting people who are in between jobs. I'm going to need you to quit your job and start playing these games. Kids? They've got to learn to fend for themselves eventually, right? Wife? Parents? In-laws? They're adults! They can take care of themselves! (And if not, again, social support systems.) Remember: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." I'm pretty sure that means they'll all love you *more* when you return from your five week video game bender. That's how I read it, anyway.
There is no way this plan can go badly.
Coelocanth: I like the way you think.
Boy, does that sound like me - accumulating new ones faster than I can play through what I already have! I am trying too! I keep a long list broken out by genre and ordered by release date of what I want to play and remove a title from the list once I have played it but the going is slow. I am very likely to die one day with a sizable backlog! I am fortunate to have such a problem though and I am thankful for it.
I have far too many unplayed ones to list here that I consider greats but among the more recent would be:
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Dragon Age Origins and Awakening
Mass Effect series
The Witcher
The Witcher 2
Fallout 3
Fallout New Vegas
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Batman Arkham Asylum
Batman Arkham City
Alan Wake
Dishonored
Bioshock
Bioshock 2
Max Payne 3
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Tropico 4
Total War: Shogun 2
Civilization V + Gods and Kings
I could go on but... lol
I'm currently playing and enjoying Jade Empire and World of Warcraft. I've dabbled a little in Payday: The Heist too and it's a very good game as well. Oh, and I am playing SSX 3 on my PS2. I just installed Ultima 1 (Mac version!) to play too. So many games and so little time for them all - and I am home all the time!
