Well.... a repost.

A good Christmas movie is "Tokyo's Goodfathers" (animation film by Saotoshi Kon)

Have to agree. Fun movie.

Rohan15: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Jack Frost (The one about the killer snowman, not that family one. God no...)
Silent Night, Deadly Night (The horror movie)

tinyE: I came on this thread specifically to mention "Silent Night Deadly Night" thinking to myself, "no one will have put that down!"

In it's stead I offer up Elf. That isn't my favorite, but all my favorites were already mentioned. Plus that Zoe D. from Elf; she isn't hard to look at.
:D
Die Hard
The Holiday

bevinator: I have always greatly enjoyed the Muppet Christmas Carol.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Christmas Story, too, of course, but everybody knows about those.
My family has a tradition of watching the Muppet Christmas Carol every Christmas Eve. I love that movie.
I'm partial to comedies so have to go with Christmas Story with Elf a distant second.

However, I will admit, Die Hard is a fine choice too since most of us don't consider it an xmas movie but it is :).

Die Hard 1 and 2 are set during Christmas plus in many countries the movie is shown every year during Christmas period. Same goes for Home Alone for Poland. In my mind they are just connected to that holiday.
A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens.

Doesn't matter who did it, saw them all, even Mr. Magoo version!

Movie was always on, very late, even after the Vatican Mass, when I was making Christmas for the next morning and all were asleep.
A Child's Christmas In Wales and Christmas Every Day are my personal nostalgic favs.
I love all the other movies suggested as well.
Also you can't forget the Rankin Bass Christmas specials.
