The quest to help discover the Ubisoft treasures as we’ve relaunched our catalogue has been going for two weeks now and the armies of GOG Heroes grow with every day. It's time for another quest and another shoot at great loot. This time you need to prove your worth!

As a fighter on the battlefield you have to show how brave you are even when the enemies are numerous and they are better equipped. To show your comrades there's nothing to fear you have to use the best taunt you can come up with. That's why your quest is to record a short video showing your best GOG battle cry. Keep it clean, though, ‘cause GOG doesn’t fight dirty.

A good wizard is crafty and fights with more than just brawn. His biggest strength is the ability to mess with his enemies' brains. As a wizard, record a short video on which you'll show us your best magic trick - be it a trick with cards, coins, rabbits or disappearing ladies - mess with our heads and you'll complete your quest.

Once you’ve made your battle cry or your magic trick, upload it to YouTube and then post a link to it in this forum thread. We're accepting your submissions until Sunday, March 27 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Out of all entrants we will depend on your votes to help us pick the best fighter and the best wizard. The two victorious heroes will each be awarded with 10 GOG games of their choice.

We’ll get back to you guys at the end of the week with info on how we’ll be accepting voting; in the mean time, let the fight begin!

mlords: I liked yours too, LazerHUN. I have some theories, but I don't really want to ask because like Gammix said that would kill the fun.

I also think we're all a little worried, the competition is pretty steep in the wizarding world.

LazerHUN: The only thing that I'll tell, it's not video editing, it's a real trick. I amused my classmates as well with it:)
After the competition's over I think I'll look it up so I can learn it, but until then it shall remain a mystery. You interested in trading instructional emails? The coin trick is pretty simple if you've got quick hands, and even if you're not naturally dextrous you can nail it with enough practice.

I tried to add some humour, I think I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Luckily I owned all of the weapons and clothing so didn't have to buy anything :) The editing is terrible but it is my first time using video software, sorry!

Hope it's enjoyable to watch :)
If it weren't for the fact that I'm about to make my own Battlecry entry, I'd promise you my vote. Monty Python references are the surest way to my heart.

Well I'm interested in your idea, but I don't know how to send our contact in private.

By using GogPM?
Good idea, just signed up for that - thanks.

LazerHUN, something else that just occurred to me is that if you have skype we could actually show each other the trick. That's probably better than try to write out an explanation, especially for mine. My username is Spiderhoot. Or if that doesn't work for you we could try to explain it in GogPM.

I'm interested too. I've always been fascinated by sleight of hand.

Sure, I was curious how you did your card trick. Does skype work with 3-way video chat? I'm kindof a noob. =P

Oh, I'm also curious about the rubber band trick. I have a vague idea of how it worked, but I could use a lesson.

Fighter competition entry, sorry about the terrible contrast... but you can still get the gist of it. I tried really hard to fix it, I swear! =P

Argh, hope I win the Wizard one at least. =P
Hello,

This is my first time posting, but I saw this contest and couldn't resist making a video! I'm submitting for the wizard submission. This particular wizard is good at mind control and manipulating technology. Be wary of your television set. I hope you guys enjoy!

Hate to say it, because your video is pretty cool, but you're a few minutes past the deadline. =(
On the bright side, your magic is clearly real - I watched your video and now I'm on gog.com! How'd that happen? =)

I realize that, but I put a lot of work into this video and live in the west coast so the timing was a little off for me. I was working on this video till the last minute and hopefully the mods will accept it being a minute or two late. I'd hate to have all that time spent on this video be in vain.
Yeah, it's pretty clear that a lot of effort went into it. I actually hope they let it in, even though I'm honestly a little intimidated regarding competing with you. =P
Just figured I'd let you know about the deadline in case you didn't already.

I wish your magic trick would have been to actually bring the lucasarts games into the GoG catalogue. On that note, those are some wicked editing skills! I wish I had them, I wish I had them TEN TIMES. Here's to hoping they'll accept your entry!
Haha! Yeah, me too. I'd love to see the lucasarts game on the menu.. Some of my favs. Thanks for the kind words.
