I managed to check out Battlefield Heroes last night.
It will draw obvious comparisons with TF2, and although it's not as polished (yet) it has a lot of potential.
As far as I can work out it's completely free too (unless you want to fast path your characters and buy addtional equipment).
Jeez, I've promoted a EA product... (form an orderly line to punch me out).

I love it to.
It's a lot of fun, too bad I'm still getting the Punkbuster Problem.

I can't play it in Hong Kong, regional restrictions. For a free game!
My beta key is so wasted.

Are you using Windows 7 - 64 Bit? I have Punkbuster problem on W7 64 Bit with FarCry 2 too. I can't play mp because of this.
Any word (or idea roughly) on how big the download is?

32bit.
Anyway problem is WIndows 7, I think. :)
Seems like the problem is gone! whee hee hee
It is quite fun...
I'm glad they decided to only make the microtransactions give players "clothes" and no advantages such as bigger or better guns.
It makes the game a lot more fair and a lot more fun.

Granted EA have behaved in a questionable way from time to time but that doesnt mean some of their products arent top notch stuff. The battlefield games certainly come into that category. I'd be more dissapointd in you (because, of couse, my approval is important to you) if you poo poo'd it purely because it was published by EA. I'm away in Frenchistan right now but when i get back to my sorely missed pc at home ill be checking it out tout suit

I'm not able to check the size of download yet (not at home), but it only took around 5 minutes to grab last night on a 20mbit connection.

Hmm.. I think that it is good game ;). Quite addicting with those levels, items and missions. Gameplay is good too. It lacks voice communication though.
My in-game nick is Perpetua (9 lvl Gunner).
If anyone wants to be stabbed in the back, join " Von_Sneakypoo " in game.
I'm a sneaky, slimy and slippery National Commando.
I also proudly own " Herr_Raid " - I don't play with this one, I just made it so I could have the name.

I don't have any problems with the PunkBuster on World at War, and I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. Have you tried going through the repair process?
