Rename Master (Windows, Freeware)

I use "Fast File Renamer". Don't know if it'd work for your needs, though.

And, by the way, I use Métamorphose when I need to rename a bunch of files at the same time, it won't read from text files and so won't use for this case, but can (seems to, haven't used that function) use metadata from JPEG and MP3 files.
