Good morning/afternoon/evening/whatever to everyone!

What's that? You missed the Bargain Bin Promo? No worries. You stil have a chance at the Bargain Bin giveaway!

You walk into a video game store searching for videogames as usual. You find nothing of interest till you reach the Bargain Bin. There, a game with a low price plus a nice cover plus nice-looking screenshots plus an interesting description catches your eye and results in a impulse buy which you do not regret.

Or alternatively, you found one of the big games, low priced to the point of absurdity. After you have recovered from the inital shock, what did you do? Did you scream "Instabuy!" or "Shut up and take my money!" at the top of your lungs? Or, for one reason or another, you passed it up and the game ended up being bought by another buyer and you regret you didn't buy it when you had the chance?

Share your biggest Bargain Bin deal/lost opportunity to have a chance to win one of the following seven GOG games. Why seven? Because it's a lucky number. ;)

1. Commandos Ammo Pack
2. Expendable
3. Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising
4. Incoming+Incoming Forces
5. Realms of the Haunting
6. Slipstream 5000
7. Superfrog

And some rules to keep in mind

1. Rep 10+ or Join Date: 2013
2. You can enter only for yourself, so that everyone has the same chances at winning. The winner must redeem the code himself.
3. You can enter for as many or as few games as you like, but you may only win one.
4. If you are not in, say "There is a reason these games are in the bargain bin. It's because they suck!" or any other colourful variant.

The winners will be announced sometime on Friday 28 March. Good luck to everyone!

P.S. GOG, please allow us to generate multiple gift codes from a single purchase. It was a real pain in the ass to have to make seven different purchases to generate seven different codes.

The giveaway has closed. The winners are:

1. Commandos Ammo Pack: kmonster
2. Expendable: Impaler26
3. Hostile Waters - Antaeus Rising: mondo84
4. Incoming+Incoming Forces: Thespian*
5. Realms of the Haunting: mabrookes
6. Slipstream 5000: Exil0n
7. Superfrog: RWarehall

Congratulations to them and a big thanks to everyone for their participation! Have a good day/afternoon/evening/whatever!

Thanks for the contest, count me in for Slipstream 5000 :-) Greetz! :)

EDIT: Forgot to tell my story :P My biggest bargain bin triumphs (recently) were Grim Fandango for 6$ (not working under Win 8, unfortunately) and FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage - I've paid about 3$ for that.

And I also remember being proud of myself for grabbing Myth for 6$. That was 2004 and the game has been lost many years ago :(

Grargar:
Don't really have many bargain bin deals, lost or otherwise (or I at least don't remember them).

There is maybe one depending on if you like that sort of game, I got Football Manager 2012 for £0.50 when Tesco was having a clear out a few months ago which is not bad - it's not like you need the latest one to enjoy the game and it comes with a Steam key.

Im in for;

1.Superfrog
2:Realms of the Haunting

Thanks.

Thanks for the giveaway! I'm in for Expendable.

EDIT:

Forgot to post my bargain bin stories... :D

The biggest lost opportunity i remember is passing up Deus Ex for €1.49 in the bargain bin at Expert (german electronics store chain).

I can't remember any outstanding bargain bin deals but i grabbed a new copy of Etrom - The Astral Essence for €0.50 at Amazon.de last year.

I"m in for commandos ammo pack, expendables, incoming forces and hostile waters.

My most disappointing bargain bin opportunity happened several years ago. I saw a copy of Grim Fandango in Harvey Norman store in the discounted games section. I had no idea what the game was about, so I decided not to buy it. I really regret it now :(.

Thanks for give away :).

It's now up :)
Not in, but thanks.
Thanks, i am in for:
Superfrog
Commandos Ammo Pack

I was never really surprised much of games from the bargain bin, well maybe in the nes periode when those were often on sale but can't really remember much about that.
as for pc games i was reading alot of computer magazines back then and atleast then point and click adventure games were often always good.
one time however i was at a drugstore (of all places to buy games) and they had a game called Callahan's Crosstime Saloon for like 5 euro which i never heard of and didn't even thought it would be an adventure, it was bought and i had a great pleasant surprise finding out it was a mighty good game.
I remember Realms of the Haunting as really cool horror game. Played it quite a lot when I was younger. Its pretty crazy when stuff like that ends up in bargain bin with titles like eating food simulator .
I'd like to join for:
Slipstream 5000
Expendable
Incoming + Incoming Forces
thanks!

It's not really a low priced bargain, but I remember a deluxe box for Diablo II when the first expansion was released, with both games, OST, deluxe manual and collector's box, for a very cheap price at the time (around 20 euro, if I'm not wrong). Unfortunately, I had no money and my parents firmly refused to gift me more games.
I guess I'd buy it even now, if I'll ever find it XD.
Thanks =).
Thanks I'm in for:
Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising

We don't have bargain bins in my country for video games. But I would be happy like a little child to find some un-getable gem. Like Star Trek Armada 2 :D.
Cool,

Count me in for :

Realms of the Haunting
Superfrog
Expendable

Week last Sunday we went to the local Car Boot Sale (Garage type sale), after wandering around for 20 minutes or so I noticed a bundle of Amstrad CPC 464 tape games. Guy wanted £30 for the lot (57 tapes, mainly small budget re releases), looking through them nothing that really jumped out to inspire me to buy all of them. So I went through them again and managed to pick up original big box Knight Lore & Double Dragon 3 / Rodland, small case original Americana release Bruce Lee and a few Mastertronic and Firebird re releases in small cases, all told I picked up 8 or so tapes and paid £10 for them.

The 2 Big Box titles alone if sold on eBay or wherever would have been 3 times that amount, apparently Knight Lore on Amstrad is quite hard to get hold of in its original box.
Good afternoon Grargar and thank you for the opportunity! +1

I'm in for Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising.

My best bargain bin find has to be a brand new copy of Hellgate London for 5$, which I found two years after the servers went offline. I still enjoy the singleplayer.
