Could be any number of reasons, from the poor state of the roads (especially this time of the year), to the poor state of the bridges, or the buildings that fall apart, or the traffic jams, etc.

Montreal has become somewhat infamous for the poor state of some of it's infrastructure. And the omnipresent orange cones indicating constructions sites.

I'm exaggerating a bit. But not all that much.

llamas: Thanks for the heads up. I applied because I thought it might be fun and I live in Montreal. Do you think they'll get me to play test Thief 4? I couldn't find the names of any other games in production.

Roman5: I'm not from Canada so I'll ask...any reason for your harsh words? am I in the dark regarding something here?
I'm guessing Toronto?

Montreal roads and bridges are terrible but this is only a problem if you drive a car. However, I can live close to downtown in an awesome apartment for under $300 a month and am clsoe enough to everything so I never have to drive a car or own one. It is pretty great. If only the other cities in Canada were this cheap to live in.

Downtown for under $300?! Either you're very lucky, or you have a very optimistic version of 'awesome apartment'...

And you'd be right. Well, I'm studying at U of T now, but I used to live in Vancouver.

U of T 4 Life, yo. What's your major? And what college are you with? (I was a Life Sci student with Vic College.)
For some reason I wish I live or lived in Montreal.

I have 4 roommates which I know is seen as undesirable for some but I love it. St-Henri is the best.
